I created a design on a quarter letter size sheet 5.5" x 4.25". I need the same design duplicated 4 times on an entire letter size sheet. How do I do this?

Right now the only thing I can figure out is starting with a letter size and repeating the design 4 times with copy/paste. But that also means that any changes I make needs to be done on each. My solution is tedious at best.

Hi LesSam,

Welcome to the forums :)

You could create the design on your quarter letter size then save it as a Publisher file then use File > Place to place the document 4 times into your larger document. You can then double click a placed file to edit it and the other copies should reflect the changes you have made.

Thank

It could also be saved as a symbol, I think. Changes to one copy would then replicate to the others.

Also, if you plan to print the document, Affinity supports N-Up printing, and in theory you could have Affinity produce the 4-Up version automatically during printing. But getting the placement precise may take some experimentation.

Symbols are only available in Affinity Designer - it seems from the title that the OP is using Publisher.

In my limited testing on macOS 10.15 running .afpub 1.7.3, if I place (link) multiple original Publisher documents into a second Publisher document, as described by Callum, and then double-click on one of them in the destination document, I get an Embedded version of the source ("small") document, not the Linked original.  Any changes made to the Embedded version are not reflected in other iterations of the linked document. In order to update all iterations of the source, I have to open the original Linked document separately, via Finder (on Mac, I guess Windows Explorer on Windows), and edit it. I may be wrong...

Good point. One would need to use the Designer Persona in Publisher, assuming one also owns Designer.

The behavior changes in 1.8, which matches the behavior that Callum described.

That's good - I haven't tried it in the Beta, only the release version.
