iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017); 3.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5; 8gb RAM - Affinity Photo 1.7.3

When opening any photo file, neither the Toolbar nor the Context Toolbar displays. I have restarted several times and made sure the View>Show Toolbar and Show Context Toolbar are selected. No go, no Toolbar, no Context Toolbar. Suggestions?

Hi QuantumScott,

Welcome to the forums :)

Sorry to hear you're having trouble! Please go to Window>Separated Mode and make sure this is unticked. Now go to View>Toggle UI, you may find the Toolbar/Context Toolbar reappear at this point.

If not, please now go to View>Studio>Hide Studio and make sure this is unticked, then tick View>Show Context Toolbar & View>Show Toolbar.
This should hopefully return your workspace to the correct view, if not could you please provide a screenshot showing your Affinity app? Many thanks in advance!

Is the situation you are in the same as that of the OP (same type of machine, same V1 application version, same settings, etc.), or different?

If it’s different then it would be helpful if you can give us some idea of your hardware set-up, which Affinity application (and version) you are using, and a full-screen screenshot so we can see what you can see.

Otherwise we don’t really have much information with which to try and help you.

Hi @LeeJB,

Can you please check that the Context toolbar is enabled in the View menu and in full screen the Context tollbar is not shown until a tool tis selected.
