Gavin Anthony
If I cut/copy and then paste text, the new text box that is created is huge--even for a single word. Is there a way to keep the text box wrapped exactly around the cut/copied text? See large box around a single word pasted onto an A4 page below. Cheers! Staff DWright Posted February 12, 2020 Staff Share Posted February 12, 2020 This is the default text frame size when test is pasted into a document without a text frame, if you create an empty text frame the size that you want to use the copied text will be pasted into the frame without changing its size. fde101
Alternatively use the artistic text tool if it is just a small amount of text and you don't need the text box. Select the tool, click where the text should go, paste.
Pšenda
6 hours ago, DWright said: This is the default text frame size ... Yes, but wouldn't it be more practical to adjust the size of the created frame to the size of the text (number of letters) stored in the clipboard? If I insert some text, it is very likely that it is all the text that I need to insert into the frame. If the frame were directly adapted to the inserted text, its dimension would no longer have to be modified.
