RebeccaFE Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 Hi, Have been using Publisher for a while and usually it is great. Recently it has started becoming quite clunky, taking longer to export and freezing often. The biggest issue I have is sometimes when I hit save it completely freezes with the save progress window showing. When I check the application, it is noted on the mac as 'application not responding'. If I force quit it shuts the program down but then I can not open the program again. If I try to relaunch the program it stays stuck on application not responding and then it will not force quit or run. If this happens I also can not shut down my computer as it recognises it as a running program, but it can't close it. If I force my computer to shut down (not ideal) and then start it up again then Publisher will reopen again perfectly. If I want to reopen the program again after it freezes like this, I have to restart my computer or it will not open, but gets stuck in the running/not running cycle described above. This has happened a few times now over the last couple of weeks and there seems to be no correlation between other programs running or what file I have open and working on in Publisher. The app is all up to date, as are all my other software updates, and I have not done any updates recently to explain the sudden change. Hoping someone can help as it is very frustrating. Thank you.

It appears that a member of the Affinity QA team didn't get round to fully investigating this specific report posted in the bugs forums. We are very sorry for this oversight. Yours is one of a number of reports that I am posting this apology to, using an automated script. Now we have released 1.8.3 on all platforms containing many hundreds of bug fixes, and we hope your problem has already been fully addressed. If you still have this problem in the 1.8.3 release build, then the QA team would really appreciate you reporting again it in the relevant Bugs forum.
