Pecos Bill Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Create new doc in A10 size on US English macOS. Fill entire document with rectangle filled with other than white. Print document to PDF (preview). PDF document size will be Letter and not A10 as there's an enormous amount of whitespace and tiny rectangle of color.. Quote
Staff Sean P Posted January 21, 2020 Staff Posted January 21, 2020 Hi Pecos Bill, This is not a bug, The size shown in the preview is based on the Paper Size of the selected Printer, so selecting Tabloid, would make the document appear even smaller, because thats how big A10 would appear on a tabloid sheet. When you use the Print to PDF option on this dialog, it will give you what is shown in the preview sized to the selected paper size. If you want to export to PDF only the A10 area, then you'll want to use File > Export > PDF Quote
Pecos Bill Posted January 22, 2020 Author Posted January 22, 2020 So the Page Preset isn't a Page but a canvas size or is that term used and I missed that? Thanks for the reply. Quote
fde101 Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 It is the page size, which may not be the same size as the paper you are printing on. You can print with crop marks so that smaller pages can be easily cut from larger sheets of paper. Depending on how you configure printing, you might print multiple pages to one sheet, for example.
