Lukee
Steps to reproduce: 1) open a photo 2) add a mask layer - works 3) paint on the mask layer with any brush with black/white - works 4) (Let us say you want to blur the shapes of the mask you made.) Add Fx to the mask layer, like gaussian blur - does not work. There is no effect on the mask.
Staff Gabe Posted January 8, 2020 Staff Share Posted January 8, 2020 Hi @Lukee, Welcome to the forums. This is not a bug, but currently a limitation. FX do not work on Masks. I moved this to feature requests for you
Lukee
Dear Gabe, OK thank you! Btw, is there any other way to blur or feather a mask like this?
Staff Gabe Posted January 8, 2020 Staff Share Posted January 8, 2020 You can apply a blur filter ( Live or "baked") and nest it inside the mask, and that should work
PaulEC
Sorry to butt in here, but how do you nest the filter layer inside the mask?
