gn53 Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 When exporting to pdf, I receive a warning that one or more text frames have overflowing text. I checked as follows: • View > Show Text Flow enabled. • Zooming out so all pages are visible, which emphasizes the red dots that show overflow? • Checking the Master Page(s) • Checking for Text Frames that are not located on the document or Master Page, but are on the pasteboard Everything seems to be ok, but still this message is appearing during export. Now I removed from the publication, which had 50 pages, page by page until only one page remained and found still warning popping up. Next I removed the second line in the last line of the tabel which is integrated in master page and behold, the warning was now gone. Result If a table is integrated in the master page, the last line of the table may only contain one line, otherwise a text overflow is produced. Warning Text Overflow.afpub Quote

Staff Patrick Connor Posted February 17, 2020 Staff Posted February 17, 2020 We have made fixes/improvements to this area (preflight - false warning with last row of table from master page) of the program in the latest customer beta. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below. The latest beta builds are downloadable from links at the top of each of these beta forum posts. Affinity Publisher 1.8.0.556 for Windows Affinity Publisher 1.8.0.556 for Mac These betas install parallel, next to the release version (they do not overwrite your release) and so the fixes can be tried in the beta without affecting your normal workflow in the release version. Once these programs have been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.8.0 update/patch to all customers.
