Changes to Linked document files not saved

Recommended Posts

Recipe:

  1. Create a new Publisher document, with the document set to "Prefer Linked".
  2. Place a .afdesign document into the Publisher document.
  3. Click Edit Document, and then make a change. Close the tab.
  4. The changes show on the Publisher page.
  5. Save the Publisher document, close it, and reopen it.
  6. The changes are no longer present. Nor are they present in the original of the Linked document. They are completely lost.

In 1.7.3, at step 6, the changes are present in the Publisher document (though only there; not in the original of the Linked document).
