IPad Pro 12.9

iOS 12.4

affinity designer 1.7.3.1

I can’t import any type of image or photos. Designer has read/write access to photos, and thinks that the photo is correctly imported. But the photo doesn’t show in my project. This happens with any type of file or photo, iPad screen shots etc...

i might be doing something wrong that cause the photo to not be imported, however there is no error message.

Best regards,

pierre

Update. As it turn out, the one finger drag as in the video tutorial doesn’t work, because I have “Touch for gesture only” enabled.

This means that I can zoom, scroll etc... but the one finger drag is disabled, hence I cannot import pictures.

(Note, that I wasn’t using the stylus.)

So problem solved, if you enable “Touch for gesture only”, you can only import/place pictures with the stylus, and not as is demonstrated in the video tutorial.

Leaving this issue there since this is a bit confusing, and in case this helps someone.

Hi Pierre,

Glad you've sorted the issue out. This option often catches people out unfortunately and is only really needed if you struggle with 'palm rejection' whilst drawing with the Apple Pencil.
