Difference between Windows and iPad versions?

Recommended Posts

I'm trialing Designer/Paint on a Windows desktop PC (monitor & mouse). I also have iPad Pro 12.9" 2018 with pencil. Without a tablet for the Windows PC I am limited by paint brush effects as compared the iPad BUT is the iPad version of your software a significant downgrade in performance/features/limitations compared to Windows? I guess it would be convenient for consumers to see a side by side feature comparison listed somewhere? I believe that there is 3rd party software to convert the iPad as a tablet but use the power of the desktop computer, a best of both worlds scenario? I believe that one of these only supports a Mac/iPad combination though? A comment on their use and suitability would be helpful? Cheers!

The below thread should have all the information you are looking for.

Just to clarify, the post by @stokerg in the other thread mentions macros as being unavailable. You can, of course, use macros via the Macros Studio in Affinity Photo on iPad, but you can’t record macros in the app. It’s worth noting that the macros need to be exported from the Library panel, not the Macros panel, in the desktop app: the iPad version can only import *.macros files (i.e. collections of one or more macros), not single *.macro files.

There is also no support for global colours or searching for colours, and we don’t currently have spot or overprint options.
