  1. Hey, Not sure if this is just a MacBook Pro issue, or it affects other trackpads as well, but when using Affinity Photo for Windows on a MacBook Pro (under windows using bootcamp) the Space to pan doesn't seem to work. It shows the hand icon like it should work, but it doesn't move. If I select the hand tool and do the same thing, it's fine. Likewise if I use Space to pan with a mouse, it works as expected. Oh, and I'm on the release version of Affinity Photo (1.5.0.45). Cheers, Mark
  2. Hello People. Select a Layer or an object from Photo or Designer and paste it into Publisher actually kills the possibility to Zoom in/out using the trackpad. Bug ? Can anyone reproduce this and see if it does the same thing? If it's a bug could it get fixed ? Functionalities shouldn't stop working after a simple copy paste Blessings!
  3. The trackpad on my MacBook Pro is set to high sensitivity due to some RSI issues I have. I accidentally rotated the document and am unable to get it to square back up. It overcorrects when I try rotating it back by hand. Is there a key command for this?
  4. Apple Pages give haptic feedback when an image or object is snapping, this would be a nice feature for Affinity Designer and Photo.
  5. I just bought a Macbook Pro 15 inch with trackpad. I would really like to use the big pad with a pen well designing with affinity photo and affinity designer. Inklet software with a Pogo pen would be perfect! Does Affinity support that technology? Mahalos in Advance Steve
  6. Since updating to Sierra, AP and AD seem to have trouble recognising when I've released a slider. The sliders also snap back to the original position they started in once I do let go. If it doesn't recognise I've left go at all, then it will continue dragging the slider around until I tap elsewhere. Macbook Pro 15", 2014, integrated graphics. Better Touch Tool installed but disabled for Affinity apps. Wacom drivers had been installed but are now removed. Tap to click and three finger drag are activated in system preferences. The Affinity apps are the only place this issue is present.
  7. Hello, Wouldn't it be easier if we could rotate an object using trackpad gesture?. Current implemented feature is rotating view using trackpad gesture. So, to rotate object it could be like; click the object we wanted to rotate, then hold shift and do the rotation gesture accordingly. In addition, you could do the same with object resizing with zoom gesture. Background issue: sometime it's little "annoying" pointing the cursor to the right spot to get rotation control on. To sum up, we all know that Mac's magic trackpad is one thing that make it standout from other hardware interfaces available on the market. And every Mac's user loves it. So why we wouldn't take it to its true potential? Thanks, Regards
  8. Hello everyone! When rotating the view in Affinity Photo 1.5.1 (I am using the Macbook Pro (OSX 10.11.6) trackpad's rotate gesture to do this), the behaviour of the brush size scaling will be changed when trying to access it using the shortcut (ctrl+alt+left click and drag). When rotating the view by 180°, the scaling seems to be inverted: Without rotation: - click and drag to the right increases brush size, dragging to the left decreases its size. - click and drag down increases hardness, dragging up decreases hardness. With about 180° rotation: - click and drag to the right decreases brush size, dragging to the left increases its size. - click and drag down decreases hardness, dragging up increases hardness. When the view is rotated by nothing close to 0° or 180°, the scaling and hardness changes seemingly like crazy. Is this to be expected? Is this a bug? I can imagine, the shortcut just isn't modified to work with view rotation as it shouldn't rotate along with the view. Best wishes, Shu
  9. I'm using Affinity on a trackpad (OSX). When I drag an object sometimes the canvas scrolls (moves) a bit too). This happens most frequently when I'm selecting the object and dragging at the same time, but it can also happen when I'm dragging an object that's already selected. They key to preventing it is to deliberately pause between clicking the object and making the drag gesture. Has anyone else seen this? Maybe Affinity is perceiving the drag gesture as a scroll gesture (both two-finger gestures)? Is there some way to disable two-finger canvas scrolling?
  10. Hi, I found the following issue: 1. zoom into your document/content so that you can scroll 2. click and hold (via mouse) the eye dropper tool to find your color 3. use your trackpad to scroll > expected: canvas content starts to scroll > status quo: you cannot scroll at all AND after release of mouse click, you the canvas scrolls The scroll-command + its input values are obviously buffered and executed after mouse release. Cheers, Stefan

    Trackpad sensitivity

Hi, I'm calling this a bug, because similar apps don't display the same problem (Illustrator, InDesign, Skecth, etc). When scaling text using a two finger gesture on the trackpad, Affinity doesn't seem to know when I've left go/stopped. It always seems to nudge the text another point up or down. In other applications, when I stop moving and let go of the trackpad, it stops modifying the number. I'd get over it if there were sliders or I could use the keyboard arrows, but as it stands I'm hitting CMD+Shift+Option+> just to increase a point size. Thanks for reading.
  12. I just downloaded Affinity this afternoon and after spending some time watching tutorials I felt confident enough to jump in and get to work on some photos. I'm working on my laptop macbook pro and I don't have a mouse so I'm using my track pad. I've selected to use the inpainting brush tool and have the width of the brush set, but when I press the track pad down with my thumb and then use my index finger to navigate the brush it doesn't seem to "activate" the tool. The circle for the brush just moves around wherever I move my index finger. Is there some other step I've missed or is there some other way to "drag" when using a track pad?
