  1. I use it most in Photo 2. If you enable three finger drag on the Mac trackpad as shown below, then you can get the desired behaviour with 3 finger dragging after the slider has focus (which is then equivalent to clicking on the slider button and and dragging it). System Settings > Accessibility > Pointer Control > Mouse & Trackpad > Trackpad options ... > Enable dragging > three finger drag FYI Capture One has this behaviour with a standard 2 finger scroll, which suggests that it explicitly handles scroll events when a slider button has focus.
  2. I would like to use my trackpad to alter slider values by scrolling once the slider has focus, so that I do not have to click and scroll to change values. This is a very intuitive way to alter the effect of the slider. While the focus is on the slider I don't have to remain holding the trackpad down to make changes. The acceleration setting of the trackpad will magnify the value delta of a large swipe, but allow very fine control with a slow swipe. For context, I have an Apple MacBook and the trackpad is superb. Capture One has this feature and I use it all the time.
  3. The source tab is very important when focus stacking and cloning from a source image to the merged image. I would like to suggest that there is a keyboard shortcut for toggling between 'Focus merged image' and source image there is a way to use the up and down arrow keys to move through the source images These simple changes would make a huge difference to the usability of focus stacking. I can easily have 20 or more sources in the tab when doing a complex macro focus stack. Thanks, Michael
  4. Hi John, If I develop a raw image in Develop and then edit it in Photo, not all the RAW data is in the Affinity file. While I can go back to the Develop module with the Affinity file, the settings I used in the first pass are not there,, nor is the full set of raw data. If I want to re-edit the raw data I have to start again and open the raw image in Develop, and remember the settings that I used in the first pass. Doing this will have no affect on the existing Affinity file, so its not an update. I believe that this is known as editing/updating 'Smart Objects' in Photoshop I would update the title of this if I could to be clearer... Michael
  5. Hi All, Affinity Photo is a great product, especially if you use the Apple Raw engine on a Mac. Does the roadmap contain a feature that will allow a user to return to the Develop Persona and update the raw settings, and then return seamlessly to the Photo persona with the updated raw settings? This might require basic Digital Assets Management functionality - please note that I, for one, would be willing to pay for this separately if necessary. Michael
  6. The program allows me to click the Develop Persona after the sequence I just described. What changes can be made in the Develop Persona? So because the image is now B+W changing the saturation has no effect. If, instead of adjusting the saturation, I adjust the exposure, say +2, and then follow the same sequence, when I get back to the Develop Persona, the exposure slider is set to 0% and moving it to -2 does not restore the image. I'm guessing people are going to tell me that is the expected behaviour? If so, why would you want to be able to go back to the Develop persona with an image that you have already developed in Affinity?
  7. Hi All, If I open an image - a RAW file set saturation to -100% so that the image is B+W click the 'Develop' button and the image opens in the Photo persona and then click the Develop persona (no edits in the Photo persona, no saves at any point) the saturation slider is set to 0% the image is B+W increasing the saturation to the max allowed by the slider 50% does not change the saturation of the image I expected to be able to adjust the original Develop settings. Am I missing something, or is this a bug? Affinity 1.8.1 macOS 10.14.16
  8. Thank you Will, that is the issue. I had that showing when I did the update, but after the update it was no longer visible.
  9. Hi, Where is the Develop button in 1.8.1 for macOS? I have restarted Affinity holding down the Cntrl button and reset everything, but I still don't see it If I make develop changes and try and move to the Photo persona, then the pop-up shown comes up - and then I can go to the Photo persona. But if I come back to the Develop module, the changes I made are shown but the sliders are reset. For example, open an image, desaturate so that it is B+W, go to Photo, return to Develop - the image is B+W but the saturation slider is set back to 0% and there is no way to return to the coloured version of the file.
