  1. When I open any Nikon raw file (.NEF extension), the image is always 1 to 2 stops too dark. I must increase the exposure just to see the detail. When I then develop and export the image, it is overexposed by the same 1 to 2 stops. I did not have this problem with earlier versions. It only began a few days ago when I updated to 1.7.2. So the questions are (a) is this a bug? and (b) have I overlooked some preference or other setting that affects the initial display of raw images? Thanks, Dick
  2. I tried to update my Affinity Photo version to the new 1.7.1.404 but only get a 'setup failed' screen. This is not the biggest problem: my 'old' version just vanished and I am now unable to run the program at all
  3. As the title says, since update. 1.7.404 crashes randomly while printing. Doesn't seem to be any pattern to the problem. Windows 10 64bit, 64gb Ram, Threadripper 1950x, NVIDIA GTX1080. Gary
  4. Hi everyone, I'm new to Photo, have used Photoshop for years, ditching it because of subscription based service- I just installed Affinity Photo, no errors on the install- On Windows 10 Pro. x64- I cant open any image files in Affinity Photo- I doesn't error, the status just shows that its "Loading 1 Document..." and stays that way 2min, 10mins, 30mins... even for files that are 800k in size (.png, .jpg, etc) --- however, if open the app, and create a new image file- save it to the desktop- exit the app- then double click on the new image file .afphoto, it opens Affinity Photo, then loads up the image- ?? some notes on my pc configuration: my user account is a standard user (and not admin) so when I need to install applications, I have to use the local admin account- when doing this, I install the application(s), into my users profile folder, so the user account should have full access- (noted by Affinity Photo, being able to open without issues- ) however, I'm not sure if this scenario might be whats causing the app, to not able to open other image formats- ??? although iv noticed my pc getting errors in the eventviewer that are GPO related, some of them security- will keep digging
  5. Hey guys... I've been using AD a lot in the last year and I wanted to share with you some of the results. As you can see in these images, my main project consists of creating Windows 10 Themes, which is basically UI design... and in this department, AD has no actual competition on Windows (Adobe XD is far too featureless for what I need and PS is a nightmare to use for UI design). While working with tons of artboards and a lot of exports, this is where AD shines, as the Export Persona makes my life a whole lot easier. But at the same time, I found some flaws in AD, which is not a bad thing because I was able to do my part in the community and offer experiential feedback to help improve the app. Now, what can I say about my work... the theme above is called Simplify 10 Dark Colorful which is inspired partially by the MacOS UI, and bellow I have something for the Linux fans as well, a collection of 10 themes called Maverick 10 which is inspired by the Ubuntu design language. Over time I made many other themes and I also use AD for web design exclusively now and in time I hope to make it my main design tool. If you like my work, then head over to deviantArt and check out my entire gallery: deviantart.com/dpcdpc11 Thank you for making this amazing piece of software!
  6. Hi, I'm a new user of Designer. What Windows10 laptops sold in the US would any and all of you reccomend I get? Thank you. LucyP
  7. Good afternoon, I am about to buy Affinity Designer and as far I understood: Operating Systems (64 bit) When app purchased from Affinity Store: Windows® 10 Windows® 8.1 Windows® 7 (Service Pack 1; Aero enabled) When app purchased from Microsoft Store: Windows® 10 --- So my question is: If I bought the app on Affinity Store for Windows 7 and then want to move to Windows 10, shall I get a new license? Doesn't sound logical now that I wrote it, but still concern about this. In your immediate answer I will buy it right away. Thanks in advance!
  8. Editing old family photos.Could somebody tell me how to get rid of red on skin.
  9. Hello, whenever i start up Affinity Designer it notifies me that there is an update available, but when ich click on "Download" all i get is the following text: "An error occured while opening the following URL in the Web Browser: http://go.seriflabs.com/affinity-designer-update-1" followed by a "Close" Button. Any ideas why this happens? AD still works just fine, as always, it just wont download the update. Note: I translated the error from German, so it might not be exactly the same in English.
