  1. Hi there, i created a template for a magazine in DIN A5, mainly aimed at beginners. Experts change things like colorspace, bleed,.... All the images you see there are from unsplash, pexels and pixabay and also are only in 72dpi in that, so replacethem I also got a german and english version so the naming of textstyles and other things make sense for non-german speakers. Fonts necessary (both free): https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/fira-sans https://www.freefonts.io/akrobat-font-free-download/ have fun with it and tell me if you got any ideas improvements, i don´t do templates very often.:) I put the template under CC0, so yeah have fun with it. 2. Hi All, Maybe a noob question, but I am struggling to understand the full benefit of "template" files (.aftemplate). I do understand they come in handy in opening a new document from: file>new>templates , however I do not really understand how else they are useful? In my current understanding, if I save a file myself with certain margins, guides, ruler settings etc etc and just name it "Design-File-Template", when I open that file that is NOT a ".aftemplate" and click "save as" everything is there.... Just fishing for ideas and reasons to use template files! Thanks in advance!
  3. I created some templates in Affinity Designer destkop version and saved them in Google Drive. When I try to open them up in Affinity Designer on the iPad they are grayed out. If i go straight to the folder in Google Drive, they are not grayed out, but when I click on it, choose 'Share' and choose to open with Designer, it won't open but it will open in Photo, if I choose that. I'm not sure what the issue it. The template file is .aftemplate. So what I want to be able to do is open up Designer for the iPad, tap the + button, choose 'New From Template' and open up the template. How can I do this? thanks
  4. I have created a template folder and pointed Designer to it, but the Emblem Graphics templates do not show in the New File from Template. I can open and use the templates individually but the dialog does not list them. Afifnity Designer 1.9 desktop Windows 10
  5. I love using template files. Especially for brochures that have common sizes or rulers for folding or for different companies that require different sizes/specs for their layouts. Unfortunately, right now, Affinity Designer will currently open an Illustrator file (which is great!), but it won't open an Illustrator template file (.ait). It would be wonderful if Designer would Have the ability to make template files in the first place and Be able to open those types of files I have already made the switch from Adobe to Affinity, but would love if this was an additional option for the Affinity suite (i.e. Publisher being able to open .indt files and create template files).
