  1. Hi! Could you please add new Android devices in preset? Because current looks like this (with only one 4 years old device): I would like to see next devices from default android virtual manager config: Many thanks!
  2. I'm a total noob with both Affinity Designer (purchased yesterday) and my Wacom Intuos tablet, but as I tried to doodle a bit, I found it more than a bit frustrating that I would need to reach for my mouse, then find and click incredibly small buttons to do something as simple as, say, switch to a different colour or brush. It occurred to me how incredibly useful it would be to be able to use the off hand to give context-sensitive commands on something like my Android tablet. This could all but eliminate the need to reach for the mouse or keyboard! Is there anything like that available on the market, or being planned?
  3. Hello, I need some help, im interested in buying affinity designer to be my go to app for android apps development, since I never done any apps yet, im still a newbie (in both, designing and coding), as you know designers should consider the many possible screen densities to support multiple screen app development for android... I saw in your tutorial video that you can export slices to 1x, 2x, 3x etc, now according to android documentation there are a set of six generalized densities: ldpi (low) ~120dpi mdpi (medium) ~160dpi hdpi (high) ~240dpi xhdpi (extra-high) ~320dpi xxhdpi (extra-extra-high) ~480dpi xxxhdpi (extra-extra-extra-high) ~640dpi The density-independent pixel is equivalent to one physical pixel on a 160 dpi screen (mdpi).. 1. now when I select new document, which settings (dpi) should I choose to support all 6 densities? (detailed answer please?) 2. hdpi has 1.5 conversion rate coming from mdpi, from the video I only saw integer values, so is there a way? 3. what if I'm already working on hdpi document, how can I convert down to mdpi? I didnt see options to downscale PS. I know this got asked before but please provide assets for android development. thank you.
  4. Decidedly, I can't wait Plugins for Designer https://material.io/tools/theme-editor/
  5. Was searching on playstore and found this, logo looks a lot like aff. Photo
  6. I just bought a pair of Note Pro 12s. It's an amazing device that begs for great software. I would love to have something like Affinity Designer on my tablet. I don't really have a use for it for desktop work because there's already much more powerful software, including DrawPlus which I've been using for years. It's so frustrating that all the best apps go to iOS where the tools are lacking, and the OS is rigidly unproductive by design. But that's where the money is so I can't blame anybody. It's just unfortunate.
  7. I've been trying out the new version today having given up previously because of poor export options, I see they've been greatly improved! I would like to use the right workflow for exporting for Android assets. I saw that you can choose lots of options to get for example an .imageset folder for Xcode and this is really great. Android assets are split into sub folders though and there are often 4 or more to create at odd scale factors. What is the best way to do this so I don't have to set up all these scale factors and name all the separate folders I want to export to every time I create a new asset and slice? I saw you can save presets, but can you add and/or create export packages like the one which creates the .imageset package for iOS? Any help on the correct workflow will be gratefully received.
  8. Hello Affinity Team, Kudos on a great product. I work in an Android device manufacturing company and our devices have RAW shooting capabilities. However, some of our users have reported some compatibility issues between our devices and your software. I would love to work with you guys to ensure maximum compatibility between our two platforms. I haven't found a direct technical support e-mail where I can contact you guys. Sorry for using the forum. If you could send me a private message I would really appreciate it so that I can give you more information. Thanks again for your time and best regards!
  9. How can I preview the APP UI on mobile phone? I use windows ,and I have iPhone and an android phone.
  10. Hello everyone, This is my first project I made in AD, it took me couple of weeks to finish it. I am really happy that I finished it and will be uploaded on behance soon. I did UX part first especially research. I took a survey regarding internet, what ISP they have and how much data do they use. I even took online interview and then started UI part. I am learning java to compile it and make an android app. I made light theme also. I will be grateful if I could improve something more. :) :) :D
  11. Hi, for those of you, who want to read Affinity Photo for Windows Help on your smartphone/tablet sitting on the couch and drinking tea, here is the instruction how I achieved it. After loosing hours trying to convert the help to epub with poor results, my way to go now is: 1) Create a directory HELP for example on your desktop 2) To HELP copy from <Affinity Install Directory>\PhotoHelp\Contents\Resources: - <Your Language>.lproj - shared 3) In HELP\<Your language>.lproj\scripts directory replace files by the files in the ZIP archive. 4) Upload the HELP directory to your device via DropBox or comparable 5) On your device open HELP\<Your language>.lproj\index.html with your browser Chrome works very good here. The topic menu is in the top left corner. The script changes basically fixed the help to display Windows specific parts and Shortkeys instead of trying to derive the platform from the environment it runs in. Otherwise a MAC help would be displayed. scripts.zip
  12. Hi, I have a simple circle I want to slice. The size of the circle is 96x96. But when I hit create slice it shows 104x105, which in turn chnges the sizes of the pre-defined slices - they all get strange sizes instead of 24x24, 48x48 and so on. Please help! Thanks Yair
  13. Hi, I am going to make a set of Icons in the material design style, Has anyone got any tips on what size i should make my document, and what grid i should use etc? i took a look at googles guidlines here and underneath is a snippet, how do i create an edge of 1dp? DP unit gridAndroid expects product icons to be provided at 48dp, with edges at 1dp. When you create the icon, maintain the 48-unit measure, but scale it to 400% at 192 x 192 dp (the edge becomes 4dp).
