  1. Hi Stefan, It might be worth reading these threads https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/10137-plug-in-compatibility/?hl=topaz https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/9969-affinity-photo-plugins/?hl=topaz&p=42913 I know the dev's are working hard to get some plug ins compatible. If you do feel you need a refund you will have to contact Apple via the app store. Allan
  2. Hi all, Check out this brand new tutorial where I show you how in less than 30 mins you can go from creating and designing a website in Affinity Designer to Prototype for your client. https://youtu.be/z2z9G5KQfaw Allan.
  3. Never considered the camera for something like this, probably never will. If someone showed me the results it will still depend on the features of the camera. I prefer to shoot as I see it and edit later on a computer.
  4. Hi Antonio, If you export as something like a Jpeg or Tiff then yes. If you are using another Mac and signed in with your Apple ID then yes, you can download it and it will work on two computers. Allan
  5. Hi Jojje, currently finder by itself does not see the pics in Apple Photos. A work around would be either to drag and drop from Apple Photos and store elsewhere. Or if you use spotlight to search for the picture it will find it in finder. Spotlight can be accessed by pressing the CMD then Spacebar key or the little magnifier glass on the top right of your menu bar. Tried it myself just now and works. By doing it that way it will show in finder and show the path it took to locate it as it is buried within the Photos Library. Allan
  6. Actually, lets go one further and remove colour from the world completely. Thanks for the feedback. I'm very passionate and B&W photography. Thanks heliherrera :) ;)
  7. Hi Jim, if your going to print, wouldn't you create your doc in CMYK?
  8. Even though bleeds are yet to come, my work around was too add 3mm to the W&H and the add in a few guides. Worked out really well in the end for a few business cards and menu I had to send to the printers.
  9. Hi, I also use Lightroom for many reasons but what I can do now is go to the menu bar and go Photo - Edit in - Edit in Affinity Photo. (You would need this set up first of course) Personally I like it that way, if I need to I start of in Lr then send it over to photo to clean it up and any further processing if needed. I like the way Lr organises and stores my pics, and a similar workflow as I used going from Lr to Ps. Allan
  10. Actually, it would be good to have a tutorial on colour management, profiles, ICC, soft proof etc in AD/AP...
  11. Hi, There is no save for web dialog, you do have an option under File - Export or by using the export persona. If creating for the web there is that option when you first create a new document. Here is a tutorial showing how the export works
  12. Thanks. This is just a screenshot, the original looks a lot better. I was going for a sad, film type look. Looked like he had had a very hard life... wanted to emphasise that with the shot and edit. It almost feel like i'm back in France again.
  13. All my previous work has all been in Designer because that's what I do, but I do have a real hidden passion for photography. This was taken in France a few months back on my iPhone6 with a Moment lens attached. Now we are out of beta, i'd thought i'd give it a serious go. My first piece in photo and although i'm pleased with the results, there is still a way to go and more to learn but working in Photo was fun. You will see the before and after, and what a difference 30 mins in Photo makes. Allan.
  14. Oh no, look whats happened now... Better be good at those negotiations Matt P. :o
  15. Thanks Peter, actually I'll do one better then that. I'm on my way down and gonna barricade myself in until they release the features.
  16. Thanks George. You assume correctly. Yep a lot of guides, and errors along the way. Had to make the document 3 inches taller and wider then add some guides to create a bleed. This was my first menu design, hopefully more to come but really painful working without art boards and bleeds and no way to lock the guides in place <_<
  17. Yep, this was painful without them and BLEEDS... So 3 key points for the AD team 1 Give me art boards 2 Give me bleeds 3 Give me the ability to lock guides in place (double click/right click locks it and turns another colour) Nottingham is only a few hours away, please don't make me come down there  :o Thanks Leigh
  18. There is so much Designer can do, even though I would love to of done this in an app that was designed for this like indesign I thought I'd give AD a go, yes Art boards and bleeds would of helped Massively, M A S S I V E L Y (hurry up and sort this out NOW, now please :D, no seriously we need this now, don't sleep EVER until this is done, I really mean this) Here is a Menu design I worked on for a Nigerian restaurant. Delivery arrived this morning and went and dropped of to my client Tuesday evening who was very pleased. It's always good to see the results and hear the feedback and see the progress, even though this is nothing special or some spectacular illustration, it just goes to to show what can be achieved (and yes it was paid work) even without the necessary features available, with a little work around. And at such a great price, (actually an AWESOME price) LOVE IT. Great work guys, looking forward to the official release of Photos and esp. Publisher (yep this is THE ONE i'm looking forward too, better get it right) which is going to help with my freelancing. Maybe even speed it up. Great work guys, no seriously we mean this. Allan Trainer @Apple and freelancer.
  19. Camtasia, Motion and FCP Yep.... +1 for Motion it rocks... looking forward to this release  Love it... Allan
