Why isn't one able to select which artboards I want to export in a .pdf file? I found I can check the "make item visible in export" icon to he right of the layer, but that just adds blank page to the final file. Also I think there's a bug - the little "eyes" should show "make item invisible in export" and "make item visible"

Is there a way to lock the guide lines so they can't be selected like you can an object? Also is there a quick way to turn them on and off. Many thanks.

Is there a way to have both the buttons show on the tool bar - I find myself constantly having to switch between the 2 when I'm designing layouts/brochures which is a real pain. Or perhaps assigning shortcut keys to the above?

This feature would be great to have - not too dissimilar from CorelDraw's mesh fill tool from 2008

I think either/both ideas would be a vast improvement - it's a real pain at the moment

Sorry, I was talking about Designer. Aaah.... I was looking at the transparency tool drop down were logically I thought it would be. Yes, I suppose I can use the layer's transparency.

IS it possible to apply a flat transparency to an object? - so basic but I see no way of doing it.

When you're working on 2 or more documents in Designer or Photo, the "selected" one has its title bar in dark grey and the "unselected" documents are black - which is the opposite to any tool selected....

In running v 1.8.3 now and have imported a pdf file into a document and an original paragraph of text gets imported as separate lines of text. In version 1.7 there was an option somewhere when you imported a pdf to have AD keep lines of paragraph text together - this doesn't appear in v 1.8.3 Can someone please help?

At the next update could you please add "wrap text around object" - it's ludicrous that this basic function is only available in publisher!

So is there no way that I can have only one edited file instead of 2 - the saved original jpg (gone form 2mb to 5mb) plus an exported version at 90% of 1,9mb? All I want is to be able to apply some adjustments to an image, crop it and then save it, leaving 1 image of +-2mb (for example) on my HD instead of 2 totaling 7mb. With 1000's of images, storage space is going to become real problem

That's really weird.....but thanks On second thoughts this seems ridiculous - If you crop an image there are fewer pixels in it so saving it should make the file size smaller!

I exported it at 90%.... I realize I can adjust the quality to obtain smaller file sizes. What I don't understand is making adjustments to an image, select "flatten image" when I save it, and then end up with file twice the size of the original.

I've just reopened the previously edited 7mb file in AP and exported it - the file size now shoes as 1.4mb in explorer!?

Hi there, I'm new to AP and have just shot a bunch of images as jpg's. I 've copied them to my hard drive and in explorer, they show as 3.3 - 3.5mb in size. I open an image in AP, adjust exposure and crop the image and save it as a flattened image. Now in explorer the file size shows as 7-8mb in size! What's going on? Many thanks
