  1. Hi Diana V, Welcome to the forums Unfortunately Affinity isn't compatible with any of the Plus range files, and there are currently no plans to have Affinity Publisher opening PagePlus files, however you can export your current .ppp files as SVGs, then import them into Designer. This is a slightly convoluted question, as Designer cannot be used to directly create a webpage, it can only be used to design websites graphically. You can create logos, banners, navigation panes etc which can be exported as an SVG for HTML/CSS export in a different program for direct to web use!
  2. Hi duebergang! Unfortunately there isn't currently this function in Affinity, however it has been requested previously here and here and so it hopefully may be implemented in a later update
  3. Hi Jerry_Hauk This is a current known issue that our developers are aware of, and I will be sure to update the log with this thread. In the meantime, there is a workaround for this. In the Photos app, if you right-click the photo and go to Edit With > Affinity Photo, then the app should launch correctly.
  4. In terms of set as default, this setting is used to create a document palette when creating a new document within the set colour space as R C-R has mentioned, however we are aware that the palette does not switch automatically and this has been logged with the developers, so I will be sure to update the issue with this thread. As far as I'm aware, Affinity has always behaved like this, and closing a tab will always revert to the first document on the left hand side. I'll move this thread to feature requests for our developers to see and consider!
  5. Hi pammiller, I can see from your two screenshots that in the second you have selected different objects/groups than in your first, and this is why you are seeing different results. Other than this there should be no difference in changing objects relating to the order you selected the layers. If you wish to select all layers, a quick way of doing this is clicking the first layer, holding down shift (and keeping it pressed down) then clicking on the last layer in the list. Hope this helps
  6. I see, could you please use the 'Run...' (Ctrl+R) command dxdiag and upload a screenshot of the second tab marked 'Display', it should look like this: Secondly, could you confirm how you are adding the command --no-dwm-warning as a parameter?
  7. Welcome to the forums cpuisais31 Personally, I think I've satisfied both points here!
  8. Hi Bazza52, Welcome to the forums! This is unfortunately an issue with the Mac App Store and not our software update. I'd recommend signing out of the App Store and signing back in, then trying the update again. If this does not help, you can either try following some troubleshooting fixes found here, or simply uninstall the app and then re-install, which will install the latest version. I hope this helps
  9. Hi Mnement, Welcome to the forums Firstly, could you please follow the Microsoft troubleshooter in regards to Aero found here, we find this can fix most issues. Can you ensure you've set the following in Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Personalization? Failing that what graphics card are you using? Have you ensured your drivers are up to date?
  10. Thanks for that, could I just double check that it is within the app that you are receiving update notifications, or is this within the Microsoft Store? If possible, could you provide me with a screenshot of the update message so that I can look into this for you?
  11. Hi Janwinard, Apologies for the delayed response here, we are currently working to upgrade our servers and this has only just come to our attention. May I ask how you converted your image to CMYK? I have used Document > Colour Format > CMYK (8 Bit), then disabled and enabled all composites one by one, and each is working as expected. Could you please provide me with the .afphoto file you are working on, so I can take a look into this?
  12. Unfortunately not, however Spotlight will have a regular newsletter showcasing the latest and greatest articles We plan on adding further features to Spotlight in the future, and I will ensure your voice is heard in terms of implementing an RSS feed!
  13. Apologies for not being clearer, the .exe should be in the Resources root folder as below: I would recommend uninstalling the software and reinstalling it with any third party antivirus disabled and administrator rights enabled if this exe is not visible, as it appears to have been blocked or removed by either the installer or a third party program.
  14. Thank you for confirming that. This isn't a setting within Affinity, however our EXIF data tool runs as a separate process from AP. This would indicate that exiftool.exe is either failing to run, or is being blocked by a third party program. Could you please go to C:\Program Files\Affinity\Affinity Photo\Resources and check for the aforementioned exe? Please try executing this as a standalone process. Does it open correctly? Do you have any third party malware protection that could be stopping this? I would recommend adding both Affinity Photo and exiftool to it's white-list if possible.
  15. Same here, could you please open Help > About and let me know which version of Affinity Photo is currently running? I must admit, I am running in a Windows 10 environment but this should not be a causation. I can however see in the .afphoto file that there is no camera data, perhaps try opening the .NEF file again, after restarting the program?
  16. Hi Leiski, Welcome to the forums Currently there is no way to batch develop raw images, but this has been requested previously in our forums here. However you can record macros to apply adjustments to a batch of images post-development, which may work for your workflow, see this video for further details.
  17. Sorry to hear it, If possible could you provide me with any files in question so I can look into this further for you? If you would rather not post it here publicly feel free to send me a private message.
  18. Hi tonyt3rry With the apps open, could you please go to Help > About and tell me both version numbers of your software? They should begin 1.6...
  19. Hi Ray, Unfortunately as I previously described, you cannot use the Mac app version on an iPad or iPhone. There may be third party apps that link your Mac and iPad applications, but these are not supported by Affinity, apologies.
  20. I am aware of of extended display apps, but had not even considered it as an input... learn something new, hey! Me too, but I never say never
  21. Thanks for confirming that! Both your camera and lens are supported, so no issues there. With your image open in the develop persona, data can be found in the areas highlighted below. I hope this helps!
  22. Hi Kevin, May I ask what camera and lens you are using? Are you using Affinity on Windows or Mac?
  23. Hi Henry_m, Welcome to the forums An image can only be exported in terms of pixel size, as external factors will alter how an image is displayed such as DPI and resolution and therefore a scale cannot always be guaranteed. If the JPEG is already 'to scale' in terms of your monitor, then you can open the image in Affinity Photo and go to File > Export and select the TIFF option. The resolution will be kept as the original and so the size of the photo will not change. You can see more on exporting in Affinity here!
  24. Hi LuccasGreco, Welcome to the forums! I'd recommend using Filters > Colours > Erase White Paper if you are using Affinity Photo. You could also try using Blend Options (the cog icon next to the Blend Mode in the layers panel) until you find the desired effect, seen in this post by @MEB Also, I personally like the ripped design but I'm not much of a creative so would struggle to offer improvement suggestions, other than perhaps a few less rips so that the design is more prevalent?
