  1. Currently when you click+drag to duplicate an object, it creates two history events: 1. The object duplication 2. The move transform created by the drag. Since click+drag is a single gesture, it should only take one undo to revert the change. This is especially a bummer since one UNDO appears to undo both steps, but the duplicated layers remain sitting invisibly (if opacity=100%) atop the original layer. Please consider this change.
  2. Thanks, D. I'm looking for a solution to scenario 2 that doesn't involve clicking the artboard.
  3. Do you have Sketch? Open that up, fiddle with the text tool (using ESC) and you'll see how I think text tools should work. Maybe I'll screen-record something later to make my stance crystal clear.
  4. I mean the alternate character palette https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201586
  5. The emoji picker is a system-level widget. When you hit ESC, it's registered by macOS, not AD. So there would be no need for AD to be reprogrammed for this scenario.
  6. I'd like a function to "zoom to fit" the currently selected artboard. I think it would be helpful when working with many (large) artboards. Thanks for considering it!
  7. I think it's clear in this case that your intent is to escape the special-character window. Requiring two ESCs makes sense here.
  8. Right. But you have to press it twice if you have text selected. For me, this leads to unintentional "V"s within text frames (from trying to switch to the move tool). Now I'm just hitting ESC twice to always be safe. I think that's one too many. A single ESC press signals my intent to stop editing. If I wanted to move elsewhere within the text frame I can just use the arrow keys.
  9. I appreciate the help but I was looking specifically to minimize clicks. Glad to hear the bug is being worked on!
  10. Is there a keyboard shortcut to edit the text of a currently selected text frame? Fingers crossed. It's relatively tedious and requires too much precision to (switch tools and) click when compared to, for example, Sketch's `return` shortcut, which Selects All.
  11. Agree with pretty much everything Bond said. Especially: - There should be a setting to disable the current V-key behavior. - It should be easier to escape an active text frame.
  12. Even after reading this I still have no idea how to marquee-select nodes. What on earth am I doing wrong? WATCH: Untitled.mov Steps: 1. Use the pen tool to draw a line. 2. With the line selected, use the node tool to drag-select nodes. Nothing happens for me.
  13. Please switch to option+drag. I want to command+click+drag to select and move a layer in a single gesture. Thanks for considering it.
  14. I was able to work around this on macOS by plugging back into my external display and using the "mirror displays" function within macOS's system settings. This allowed me to grab and reattach the studio palette before I returning to dual-display mode. Seems like a bug to fix though.
  15. Has there been a fix since 2015 that doesn't involve resetting the app settings? I don't want to (nor think I should) lose my studio setup, shortcuts, etc.
  16. Agree. I'd like to see greater keyboard-shortcut support for the layer panel. Specifically, I'd like to navigate and rename layers on the fly. (Sketch, for example, uses ESC/TAB to ascend/descend the layer tree which I've found helpful in a wide range of scenarios.)
