frankster69 got a reaction from Fixx in Request: Horizon aware panorama stitching
    Hi Affinity,
I am very happy with your full suite, but I have an issue that I would like to bring to your attention.
If I am stitching a panorama, Affinity does not take into account the position of the horizon. This can result in skewed or compressed (to use a term) panoramas as you can see in the attached image.
When the base images have a horizon at 50% of the image, so straight forward looking, the panoramas don't differ much from a dedicated panorama stitcher like in my case PanoramaStudio.
If however I tilt up to make a sky panorama, and the horizon is at about 30% from the bottom, the stitches look very different and the Affinity stitch does not acurately represent the base images.
In PanoramaStudio once the images are imported, you can adjust the horizon by dragging a simple horizontal line. The result is an acurate translation of the base images.
As you can see in the attached image, the PanoramaStudio version really acurately translates the sky, where the Affinity stitch kind of squashes the sky.
Can you add horizon awareness to the Affinity stitcher please?
    kind regards, Frank

frankster69 got a reaction from Roger C in Filesize if saving only adjustments with deleted image
    Hi Leo,
In my case in one of two ways: Either open the file with only the adjustments, select all adjustment layers, copy, open the new image, paste. Or, open the adjustments file, and just place the new image in there, under the adjustment layers. The first way is better, because you leave the adjustment file intact.
If there are other ways, I would be glad to hear them!

Assuming you have already deleted the image file
    1. Re-Open the document
    2. Goto snapshot panel and delete the snapshot
    3. Save document
    4. Close document (important!) - no need to close APhoto
    5. Reopen document do a Save as... to a NEW filename
The new file should now be much smaller
This is for Windows can't say what happens on a MAC

    Hi MEB,
First, thanks for the upgrade!! I've just installed both and will play tomorrow.
However: I don't see any link to claim anything? Just the standard View Samples/Tutorials and Connect, close and New Document and in Photo a more info link about Designer.
    regards, Frank

Did you try to change the language in edit>preferences>general? That seems to have helped most, including me.
