  1. Please add global colors support! It has been requested multiple times already on this forums...
  2. Hi, I'm unable to figure out how to create a simple Quick Mask with circle shape inside. Would anyone be so kind as to help please? I have a pixel layer containing a photo. I click "Mask Layer" button (on the bottom in the Layers panel) it creates a Mask layer under my pixel layer. I right-click on it on choose "Edit Mask". it then shows me a 100% white mask layer. Then I press CTRL + I to invert it to black. Now I would like to add to that mask a white circle in the middle, that would "reveal" the content of my pixel layer, but it just creates additional "Eclipse" layer and I can't figure out how to merge / combine it with my Quick Mask layer. Thanks!
  3. Edit: I'll log it as a bug as it works correctly on Mac, but not on Windows https://vimeo.com/171926740
  4. Hi, Would you be so kind as to consider adding the following features please? 1) Keyboard shortcut for "Colour Chooser" (shown on this screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/E2MCOKz.png) As far as I know currently there is no way to assign it to a key. It'd be incredibly useful for quick color changes while painting (especially in "Toggle UI" (TAB) mode). 2) Possibility to dynamically adjust brush hardness + size, by pressing shortcut key and dragging the brush. Similar feature is already described in the documentation, but it does not work (at least on Affinity Photo for Windows) Thanks!
  5. No, it's not the same. I'm looking for the pop-up window from the screenshot below. It says "Colour Chooser". Apple Colour Picker looks different.
  6. Hi, After some digging I've discovered that the Mac version of Affinity Photo has some useful keyboard shortcuts for painting. Does anyone know how can I active these shortcuts on Windows? "Colour Chooser" popup (it basically activates Color palette as a pop-up window) -- Dunno how to open that. Help docs are missing. "Left-right changes width and up-down changes hardness of brush" -- Very useful, but can't figure out the keys on Windows. "Temporarily switches to the Colour Picker tool" -- I think it's simply ALT key but not 100% sure as the active tool does not visually change BTW: If anyone knows any other useful tips (especially for painting with tablet), please feel free to use this topic :-)
  7. Found a post regarding lens correction database that Affinity Photo is using. Perhaps someone will find it useful: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/32900-will-affinity-photo-add-lens-profiles/?p=161021
  8. Thanks Patrick for the info! I've found some sample RAW images from FZ2000. Affinity Photo does open the file, but there is no built-in Lens Correction. It's the same Panasonic RAW (RW2) format as for FZ1000. So basically the format is supported, but the camera is not :-)
  9. Hi, I'm planning to buy Panasonic DMC-FZ2000 (DMC-FZ2500 in the US) but I can't see it on the supported cameras list. Is there any ETA on when Affinity Photo will add RAW support for it? How long it may take? Thank you and kind regards,
  10. I think there is some kind of bug when using Pen Tool with ALT key modifier. The following video shows how the Pen Tool normally works on Mac: vimeo.com/channels/affinitydesigner/107567054#t=60s At 1:00 mark you can see the ALT key being pressed to "break" the curve, and then, immediately after regular curves are being added. To add that regular curve, it's possible to hold-click (keep mouse-down) while dragging the mouse to expand the handles. It's not possible on Windows. If I "break" the curve, in order to add another, regular one I need to click and release the mouse, and then click again on the very same point the expand the handles. I think this is really awkward and unnatural.
  11. Hi, I think it would be really awesome to have Affinity available on Steam, as an option. Apart from games, Steam is also a software distribution platform...
  12. Hi, Would anyone be so kind as to explain what "Maintain fill aspect ratio" button does? It doesn't seem to make any difference - maybe it's a bug? Thanks!
  13. I agree to some extent, but I don't think many design studios would risk using pirated software anyway... IMO crackers are not really a problem as long as there are real customers too - so the real question is "how many companies or freelancers would buy the Linux version?". I guess the answer is that many customers who also buy 3D software on Linux! :) I also think the major cause of "piracy" are high prices. Affinity is extremely cheap when compared to Adobe so I think many people would buy it, even if they can crack it. You know, piracy is kinda part of market competition too - people need to choose between safe, fully supported but expensive product and something free, but without support and often at risk of having a trojan : ) If the price is low enough, they will just pay because it's much easier and safer.
  14. If companies like Autodesk (Maya), The Foundry (Modo), Chaos Group (V-Ray), Next Limit (Maxwell), OTOY (Octane Render) or even Epic Games (Unreal Engine) and many others all find Linux a worthy investment then why nobody is making a real "Photoshop for Linux"? I'm pretty sure that majority of studios who buy the above products and use it on Linux workstations would also buy Linux versions of Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer. The market IS there, you just have to see it :-) I personally use PC at home, and THE ONLY reason I'm still on Windows is the fact that there is no competition to Adobe on Linux!
  15. I agree there is a huge market for a Linux version. Please keep in mind that 3D industry already exists on Linux - there are many popular applications like Maya, Modo, Mudbox, Mari or even Blender. The only thing missing are good Linux alternatives to Photoshop and Illustrator. There is GIMP, MyPaint, Krita or Inkscape but nothing can really compete with Adobe's products. Distributions like Fedora Workstation or Ubuntu are perfectly viable for unexperienced users. I'm absolutely sure that many Windows users would switch to Linux to use Affinity products!
