  1. I'm adding my vote... Can't change paper orientation (unless it's too early in the morning for me and I'm not looking in the right places..) is a real issue.
  2. I'm French speaking too (French Canadian). Will the app based its language on the OS language or will this be a choice the user can make ? My OS is English so are most of the apps I used, except Office. Some apps let the user choose, some don't. I prefer the one that lets me change. This is especially helpful when you surf for tutorials and only find the desired instructions in English. Having to translate between French and English to find the commands used in the tutorials makes it harder to follow. That's when I put my apps in the specific language so it's easier to understand the tutorials.
  3. I'd like to print and pin your post at the office (but I won't.. ahah!). I'm QA & Usability specialist where I work and frankly, every time something is wrong with the apps the boys are developing, I either get the blame for looking too close or get told that it's my fault because I'm trying too hard to break the app.. (lol !!!). It's refreshing to read something like that. You're the best :)
  4. I second Shadow & Highlights suggestion. It needs a mid contrast adjustment (like in Aperture).
  5. Actually you need to choose in the dropdown list, then press on the "Grid down arrow" to apply it. However, it would be more intuitive to simply choose a preset and see its settings being applied right away. Suggestion : - If you change some values in the develop persona, Default becomes Custom (or something different) - If you pick a different preset, it's applied right away. And the previous values are stored in Custom. - If you wish to go back, either Command-Z or pick Custom again. - If you wish to return to default, pick default.
  6. It's a sweet price for all it's doing. Considering the alternatives aren't near as good and features packed as Designer is. I'm Canadian and I had no issues with the price :)
  7. I opened another thread specific to the Coolpix P7700 NRW raw files. However, I can get AP to open the files if I change the extension to NEF (Nikon's other RAW format).
  8. Ok, got it. If I move it back to where it was originally put, yes, the writings becomes ok again. However, if I move this panel out, then the font change from bold to regular and becomes fuzzy if I move it up with the colour and swatch panels.
  9. Have a look a the supplied screen capture. The rest of the interface is sharp. Only this panel is affected.
  10. Found a workaround : rename the file's extension to .NEF. AP will open it after that.
  11. Sent a link to download it because it's too large to fit in an e-mail. Thanks !
  12. I checked and my camera is in the supported list. However, Affinity Photo will not open these files. They remained greyed out. I can, on the other hand, open my Nikon D5100 NEF files very easily. Let me know if you need a sample file. Tested with several files, shot on several different memory cards (and dates), got same result. _____________________ Ray
