UNABLE TO OPEN AP 1.5.2 (Beta 5)
A. J. replied to A. J.'s topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
Problem solved (at least for now). After all else failed, I tried the old standby - I copied the app from a Time Machine backup to my apps folder, and presto! I am able to again open the betas. My bet is that there was a corrupted file in the 1.5.1 application. -
UNABLE TO OPEN AP 1.5.2 (Beta 5)
A. J. replied to A. J.'s topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
p_mac: Thanks for your suggestion. I've tried that without success. Hmm...what if I uninstalled the App Store version and tried to download it again? That should replace the missing cookie and make the Betas happy again. I'll try that as a last resort. In the meantime I'll see if i can get an answer from Serif. -
I purchased and installed 1.5.1 from the app store quite some time ago. I have installed and used all Beta updates since then. Suddenly (today) I can't open the latest Beta. I keep getting a message that the retail version must be installed, and I get bounced to the App Store. The app store shows AP as previously purchased. I can open it from the app store and from my apps folder, list, etc. It is installed. How do I get back my usable version of AP 1.5.2 (Beta 5)? This is serious guys! What happened?

May be obvious questions, but have you given the battery enough time to charge? Into which port have you inserted the receiver? Have you run "Diagnose?"

Here's what I am running. You'd think there should be no problem. I'm sure they will come up with a patch soon. Screen Shot 2017-01-05 at 2.44.43 PM.tiff

I don't know where you are, but Best Buy has that model on sale right now. Got it! Thanks, Guys. I'm embarrassed . Duh - I guess I never thought beyond drag and drop, which doesn't work. Why I never tried copy/paste, or double clicking, I can't explain, other than for a gross lack of mental capacity. All those years wasted............. What a great place this is. So many folks always ready to help. Thanks again.

While using various adjustment panels I noticed that the histogram is not responding in real time. There is a significant delay between movement of a slider and the corresponding change on the histogram. In fact, I have to stop movement of the slider to allow the histogram to catch up. Is this a bug? I'm pretty sure it is not my system that is slowing it down. Is there a way to adjust the response time in preferences, or in some other manner? I'm running AP beta 1.5.2. Please let me know if there is a more recent version available. Thanks.

Mike: I haven't yet checked the link you sent, but I found a number of sites via Google. It looks like the keystrokes are universal, i.e: Windows and Mac. This is a very extensive website: http://speakingppt.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/wingdings-webdings-character-map-speakingppt.pdf Thanks also for the info as to how to upload to the forum. I don't know why I didn't look there myself.

Thanks, Mike. That is the type of chart in need, but I'm on a Mac, and the variety of Wingdings symbols in the font book is immense. Do you know of a chart for those symbols? I tried to attach a screen shot of some of them, but this forum won't accept any of the usual extensions I tried to use. I guess that is another question I'll have to submit. Thanks again.

Is there a chart or list of which Wingdings symbol is bound to which key on the keyboard? In other words, how do I select one symbol from all of the Wingdings without having to press each key on the keyboard to find it? How do I distinguish the keystrokes for the various groups of Wingdings on the Fonts list? Where can I find a chart or list if such thing exists? Suppose I want to insert a right-facing arrow into a photo I am editing... Thanks for your help.
