  1. It would be of great help, if there could be ObjectStyles like in ID and the ability to easily export and transfer combines Objects as snippets. Thank you
  2. +1 I like this feature in InDesign want it in AP too
  3. I'm sooooo sorry, but I liked the former icons more than the new ones. The new ones seem to be too bulky or dowdy in comparison to all other software icons.
  4. Yes, Walt, but that cannot be the solution and cannot be the style for Affinity publisher to deal with the issue. I dream to have a much better software with Affinity publisher.
  5. Linked Resources (other afpub, pdf and images) seem to be linked with absolute path? They should be linked with only relative path. It's necessary to be able to move the afpub document with subfolders for assets, ... to another place and easily keep the links. I don't want to be obliged to reassign it at all if the relative structure is consistent. This product should get better than indd. There, you have to reassign one file and it looks for the oher missing links in the same folder and recognizes it. I dream to have a much better software with Affinity publisher.
  6. I admit, you're right as I now understand what you mean with "global layers". I thought, this sort of layer would literally not be "global" but rather local. But Layers that can group oher Layers already exist. So why not add the ability place guides in a layer, Guides that inherently are not to be printed, but by switching the Layers' visibility on and off, you could exactly chose, which guides or guides groups you want o use.
  7. Walt, I have to say: you're right. of course, it's the same. And it's not my first choice to work with Explorer. Waiting for an Affinity DAM Tool.
  8. Nice workaround, haakoo, I also thought about it, but seems to be two steps too much. I like optimizing the workflow. Dragging and dropping from XNView is a good idea, but still the same problem with initial size? Or not? Do we have to wait for an Affinity DAM Tool?
  9. Scaling Images with constant aspect rate works without SHIFT. Scaling some assets with constant aspect rate works without SHIFT. Scaling other objects (curves, Rectangle) with constant aspect rate works with SHIFT. (here, without SHIFT you can change aspect rate. This behaviour is inconsistent and should, in my opinion, be standardised. suggestion05.mp4
  10. I dont' like the Workflow to chose an image, that is to be placed, from the "open dialog" of the OS. Chosing the Image works much more better in Windows Explorer (in case of Windows OS). But if you do so, th image opens in really big scaled size (very often multiple the size of the document canvas) and you have to shrink it. You could instead use the same, sort of size-predefining, equivalent to the "Place image tool". See the attached video. Thanks a lot!!!!! suggestion_04.mp4
  11. Has nothing to do with global Layers. Just simple Layers ... like in indd

    white is yellowish

Hi Chris_K, thank you very much hmmm, the monitor was calibrated with Datacolor Spyder. After assigning an sRGB Standard Profile, white is now nearly white. But with InDesign and Illustrater, the Calibration-Profile was no problem.
  13. Hi MEB, here I have Proposal for the ability to lock guides by assigning them to layers, not to pages. The "lock guides" button disappeared since the latest beta. I really miss the function!!!!!!! Of course you could place your guides in a Master page. But if you need different guides for different pages of a brochure, you would have to set up many master pages, what makes no sense, I think. At present version, you can place guides for the Page. But now you can't lock them anymore. That's rater not so good. It would be a better solution if you would be able to place guides in a layer. So, who wants, could lock the layer(s) in which the guides are placed. (That is how it is soved in InDesign and it's really helpful.)
  14. It would be a great help, if colour coding of layers coud be better visible. For example like this:
