well not too wrong but well at the very least personally I'd like a little touch of color, you dont have to go full saturation anyway and you could for example if you use the light UI (in case the room is really bright that seems kinda easier to use at least for me) with a very light touch of a color you like or whatever, and it isnt like everyone gets forced to use it, same with the light UI, it is added but nobody has to use it.

oh I see I kinda thought it was related the symbol becoming desynced without me turning sync off. which happened before but is seemingly something I cant replicate anymore (maybe th update to 1.5.2 or 1.5.3 fixed it

since the search doesnt work for these key words I am just opening a new one. Instead of just setting dark/light and a gamma, wouldnt it be awesome to just set any color you like and use that for the UI.

well whatever their more or less annoying reason it put me off from buying this for myself for now (I am riding on the License of my boss who purchased it for the company but with just me using it (well there's only me and my boss and my boss couldnt even use it if she wanted to, due to knowledge) it is no problem to use it both at work and at home. since I control, own or use all the related machines.) the 40€ sale back when we bought it was long story short awesome, but I didnt have any money left at that time.

I just found something both intresting and seriously annoying. when I have a symbol and throw an instance, the layer shows a tooltop with unlinked attributes: constraints, transform. the symbol simply said just has 2 layers: a text layer, and another text layer with exactly the same text, font etc but in a different color and a Gauss Blur. anyone have an Idea why this thing has unlinked attributes? sync button is active obviously.

To Start off. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH EXPORTING IMAGES OR THE EXPORT PERSONA AT ALL. well to the actual Request: sometimes you worl with affinity on multiple Devices (or you just use the beta) and you dont want to do all the changes everywhere but it's kinda annoying precisely setting this stuff up. and that's not all. maybe you someday have to re-install you computer and set up everything again, not really a funny activity. so my point is you should be able to export your settings so you can import them at any time, anywhere, for any reason.

well they would complain but that's the Apple store (or pretty much any other big store handling this stuff). and 30% cuts isnt enough for them as far as I remember a dev also has to pay a yearly fee or whatever to do anything. selling the software directly on the website for mac as well would also allow them to choose their price freely. apple's sudden increase of the Euro prices is not really funny in my opinion, last time I checked the US Dollar was lower in value than the Euro so already 1:1ing the prices was annyoing enough.

okay, I dont have any Idea on what apple is doing. and I certainly dont see whether or not you changed the US price from here without checking it explicitly, so well. but I think the same price as mac is slightly unfair to windows people because the affinity store doesnt send 30% into oblivion.

it's listed as "Schmal" which works for Light but not in this case, It's "slim" in English. I would use "Hell" Instead.

well tying the user account to an online account is a feature that I despised on my windows 8. and I was glad that you can run the store by just using the MS account for the store without tying any accounts to my User account directly.

the self-replace update doesnt have anything to do with the windows store or anything, and both chrome and opera run on Windows 7. it is just a better way of updating the thing without having to rely on pretty much any store or other stuff.

I know that itunes is coming but a problem of the win store (as of most other stores) is that you need an account of the store and that the store is relatively unflexible in the usage conditions. I dunno how many device the win store lets you use with stuff you purchase there but affinity has a quite dynamic usage license, where you can use it on as many computers as you own, for example and it also allows shared usage on certain conditions, I dunno how the win store will do anything related to that. Are Windows apps limited to only the installing user or can it also be installed for everyone? and @R-C-R this replace yourself thing is kinda what I saw from chrome and opera and thought it was intresting because you dont have to do the update actively and wait but essentially the update occurs in background and on the next start, the update is in.

well winstore is w10 only which is a problem but affinity could also handle this in background, if it would (upon confirmation) Download the update and when close or restart it will replace itself with the downloaded update

not a very good Idea. The point of affinity designer is the vector environment meaning you can scale this thing without problems up to infinity if you like, and since good .ico files usually have multiple sizes, using a raster image isnt well, the best Idea. if you can just let the export persona deal with the scaling for the ico files, that would be long story short, awesome.

honestly I have tried to replicate that stuff myself without success yet, so I just gave up and went for plan B ( cut and pasting the dashed object layers out and back in. ) If I find something I'll try to remember telling you guys. thx4help anyway.

and even if sync was off for a while it should become normal after killing the instance and pulling it out again, which is weird because it doesnt. btw from the hint I got in your other post it seems that the text frame of 2 text objects is out of sync for some reason.

well I remote both (aka all) instances of the symbol and I only have one on each artboard so I think I am doing it right. and know what is what. but honestly I havent turned off the sync button while doing anything except one time for testing but ofter that I kicked it on again removed the symbol instances and added them free from the panel

affinity seems to have some nice indicators for layers, objects or whatever you may wanna call it, with one of the most prominent being the symbol desynced orange marker, although I dont know what the others are. one awesome function to make easy to know what they want without always having to look stuff up, would be some nice tooltips to tell what this is about and maybe even a way to resolve this (or a link to the appropriate help section.

but I have something weird. the dashed layer still seems to be fully in sync (e.g. color changes on the dashed layer carry over) and I have another symbol where both instances aer orange but show literally no layer marked by a dashed line. stuff gets weirder because even when I delete the instance and drag a new symbol in, the dashed layers stay dashed.

well I click myself into this discussion. Honestly M$ is slowly but definitely getting annoying with its more or less recent paths, especially in windows 10, right now I am still enjoying popcorn and Ice Tea while laughing about it but unless MS Seriously reverts some policies I am going to look for a new OS. and it would be sad having to drop designer.
