What I am trying to do is import and save a set of bitmaps as assets so I can quickly fill any object with them and easily share them with another affinity user. I have imported my bitmaps and created assets but I can not seem to use them to fill an object. Am I missing something? -
On 1 photo raw can be set up to use affinity photo as an external editor

Hi all, just bought affinity photo and I and liking it so far. Affinity Designer has an assets panel that allows you to store stuff does affinity photo have anything like that?

Hi Miguel, On 1 photo raw has just been released as a pre-release so it's not completely polished, but it is very fast and has some very nice capabilities. If you are going to look at making affinity Photo work with an ON1 program Raw is probably the best one to look at.

sometimes I find it really time consuming sifting through the tutorials in this forums would it be possible to separate the tutorials into subforms? For now designer and photo forums would be great and in the future perhaps one for publisher tutorials.

I would be interested to know if ON1 will work with Affinity photo. In particular the new upcoming On1 photo Raw.

I would love to buy affinity designer for Windows however I can't get it at the promised beta testers price. when I click the link in the email I recieved it takes me to a buy now page that wants to charge me full price. I clicked the link at the top of the page to log into my account but my password doesn't work now it's possible that I changed it so I clicked forgot password and the e-mail to reset my password never shows up. I'll buy the program if I can get it for the promised price.

currently an object style does not include a clipped child object would it be possible for that to be included in the future?

More transparency types would be a nice thing to have such as bitmap and noise based transparencies.

lots of crashes

mostly experimenting with brushes but it's not any particular action or set of steps I can repeat. once I was drawing with a custom intensity brush another time I was editing a brush and I think once I was playing with a doughnut shape (no brushes that time) It's very late here and I can't remember exactly what I did each time. I do try and repeat when I get a crash. -
I've been having lots of crashes today I can't reliably repeat anything, it just seems like the program decides on a whim it's taking a break. I get no warnings or error messages of any kind. just the standard windows " this program has stopped working" message

I haven't been able to duplicate this but it seems to me that right click + drag to create a duplicate would be more intuitive.

Thanks Chris, Yes I thought that I right clicked on the style and was able to properly name it in previous betas.

Ok maybe I'm missing something here but I know I was able to rename object styles in previous betas and now I can't seem to do it?? I't been a while since I played with Affinity so maybe I've forgotten?

I just discovered quite by accident that if you save a style applied to text the font is also saved as part of your style which is pretty cool, but what happens if you share that style with other affinity users who don't have that font? does the program substitute fonts?

Bump. I'm currently using the affinity designer for Windows beta, and I quite like what can be done with styles. Has anyone had any experience creating styles with bitmap fills and importing them on another computer?

What kind of export features will publisher have? Will it be able to do e-books? will it have things like master pages, booklet layout (in folios for printing?

When I tred to open the attached pdf AD locked up and froze. I had to use the task manager for force close it. The pdf was created in Xara Designer Pro 365 crose.pdf

I'm enjoying playing around with AD and I've discovered I can create styles using my extensive collection of seamless tiling bitmap fills so nice! Now my next question is say I wanted to share a style that uses a bitmap fill does a copy of the applied bitmap get stored within the AD styles file? or would I need to supply the bitmap externally in a zip file? Of course I would only share bitmaps that I have created and have the the rights to share. :)
