  1. Fantastic job and amazing dedication. Thank you for taking the time to create this for the community.
  2. I have Photo, Designer and Publisher. The last 3 updates have caused me several problems and I was hoping someone could explain why. I download the update for each program. I execute the update. It fails. Once it fails I cannot access the program and even in Explore I cannot open the file folder it is stored under. The folder shows the "current" date but denies me access. I end up creating a NEW folder for each application and installing from scratch. That leave me with the previous folder. After a few shutdowns of Windows it seems the original folder disappears and everything seems to work just fine. I have no idea what the problem is and it just began occurring with the last 3 updates. Prior to that I only had to execute the update and everything would go smoothly. Any ideas?
  3. Thank you so much. Maybe now I can save what little hair I have left. Much appreciated.
  4. Following workbook on page 92. I can manually select the four items in layers but then must use control-z to undo. I cannot use the layer menu to Release Compound as the workbook describes. BUT, if I select the layers I want and use the Layers Menu to Create Compound, I can then use Release Compound. Not sure this is a real problem or just me. Seems like no matter which method I use to create a compound the Layer Menu Release Compound should work. Using Windows 10.
  5. Got it to work. Had to use System Restore, then install 1.5 first followed by the update. Don't know what the original cause was but a reminder to use System Restore after updating. It still took me nearly 3 hours for System Restore to complete and allow me to re-install.
  6. I downloaded the new update and executed it. It removed all previous files and started to install the latest version 1.5.2 then stopped. Message said do not have sufficient privileges. Went to the file and ran as Administrator. Same result. On Drive C there is a folder named Affinity with three sub-folders: Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo and Common. I cannot access the Affinity Photo folder and cannot delete, rename or view any contents. Don't know what happened and would appreciate some help. I cannot install the program, not even previous versions. All give the same result, not sufficient privileges.
  7. No offense meant to anyone, but if you want to just understand the difference, google it. One site:https://99designs.com/blog/tips/ppi-vs-dpi-whats-the-difference/ has a pretty good explanation. And there are many more sites. If the discussion is to change the software then continue. Seems a waste of time to me though. If you understand the difference you know what is meant on the software dialog boxes.
  8. I downloaded and unzipped all 3 packages with the purchase of Affinity Designer. How do you install them? I read the PDF's but there are no instructions. When I attempt to install a brush set I get an error message that "the beta has expired". Would appreciate some help on this. Thanks.
