  1. Hi Lee Thank you for helping. The Spec of the laptop is: CPU: Intel i7 GPU: GTX960 RAM: 16GB 1TB SSD (500GB Free Space) OS: Windows 10 (all up-to-date) Sure I'll give the MS App Store versions a try.
  2. Sadly, this fix only lasted for about a day. Now it's back to how it was. Every program works except Affinity. If anyone has any advice it would love the help.
  3. I may have cracked it! I uninstalled .NET Framework and then reinstalled 4.8.1 Now the Apps are launching.
  4. In my latest install attempt Publisher would not even load on it's own before I added the Designer and Photo.
  5. I got a lttle excited today when I saw there was a 2.3.1 update. Unfortunately they do not work for me. Tried the MSI and MSIX.
  6. I did, Both the CTL launch and the --no-ocl
  7. Hi Lee Thank you for your reply. I have gone between the two installers MSI and MSIX a couple of times already. They don't seem to make a difference. When I just install Publisher is seems to work. But as I add Designer and Photo, They all stop loading.
  8. Hi Ron Yes I'm running 2.3. From the 2.3 MSI/EXE. Definitely Running the correct EXE.
  9. Has there been and resoluion to this issue as I am still having the same problem. None of the Affinity 2 apps run. All other Apps are working fine.
  10. Has anyone got a working solution for this issue yet? I have tried everything in this thread to the letter. They all used to work fine just the last couple on months that the problem has started.
  11. Thanks Richard I already did both of these to no avail sadly.
  12. I have the same issue on a Win 10 laptop. Windows is up to date. The machine has a reasonable spec. And all other apps (Adboe, Blackmagic, Serif Plus) open fine. The Affinity apps will not get past the Checking for Updates stage. I have tried all the workarounds here. Has anyone been successful fixing this?
  13. Yes, but not just Adobe. Black Magic, Midjourney, Wonder and many more. We work in the film industry and now jobs that would take weeks now take hours. Jobs are done so much quicker and can be invoiced sooner. Allowing us to be competitively priced and make a better income.
  14. Well for now we are making triple the money keeping us employed. I agree, many of us will be out of a job soon. But those who move with the times may keep their jobs a little bit longer.
  15. I hate to admit it. But, we have moved our studios back to Adobe. Our competition was running rings around us and we were getting left behind very quickly. With AI our workflow and creative output has tripled.
  16. This would save our studio hours. Please can this feature be added.
  17. Is there any update on this. It seems to still be an issue.
  18. AI is such a massive part software development now and this is the big deciding year. It is far from being limited to design software. As well as the amazing new features in Photoshop, we are seeing it creep into video editing, 3D and office software. By the end of this year we will all be using and relying on AI so much that we will wonder what we did before we had it. A good example is; Tomorrow I have a brief for a list of images I need to generate for a documentary we are working on. The list of images would normally take me a week to generate in previous projects. The ones I will make tomorrow will take a few minutes thanks to AI. AI will affect our lives in the same way as the internet did, only much quicker. If I was Serif. I would be looking for people to work with that could integrate AI into the suite. Rather than being left behind.
  19. You could by making it an option to choose your default tool in settings.
