  1. Thanks
Ivar got a reaction from Chris B in Keyboard input language related - an added apostrophe when starting to enter a number right after Photo launch
In my case it seems to happen in all the cases of starting up the app (double click on desktop shortcut, drag-n-drop an image into the shortcut, open with).
Thank you very much for checking it out!

Thanks Ivar - I will ask around the team as I would really like to try and reproduce this.

    Thanks Chris!
With virtual keyboard, it works fine no matter the selected input language. It also works fine when I switch the input to ENGlish layout.
It only happens when using ESTonian keyboard input layout, and as said, first time only. When not closing the Affinity Photo, the same resize dialogue works great, until the next restart. The number 1 key is physically at the same place as with ENGlish keyboard.

Here's how it looks visually, a moving gif:

That is a long needed feature. I hope that it's not only for the initial zoom, but all zooms by the program (i.e. not initiated by the user).
Right now, the zoom operates without asking the user on many occasions (returning from plugin, Affinity macro operation etc).
    Thanks for working on it!

    Or ...
First without macro recording, create a new document and add some artistic text contents into that new document, select the text with the move tool and copy. Now create a new empty document and start macro recording, just paste the text you previously created in the first document. Stop macro recording and save the recorded macro. On any (new or open) document just load and replay the recorded paste text macro in order to insert the text then. Now you can position/edit/change the inserted text to your needs. You can record text pasting in macros and so use that way as a sort of workaround.

First of all thanks for all the effort making such a great graphics editing tool!
I myself am mostly interested in usability basics:
    * macro capabilities for everything, including plugins (currently even built in functionality isn't fully supported e.g. adding a fixed size outer border and coloring it; adding automatically text signature and positioning it automatically based on edge distance)
    * no image zoom without asking - actually fine for bigger images but currenly smaller images are enlarged and sometimes applying some filters etc they are zoomed in/out again without me asking
    * remember last choices for all the user input (e.g. change canvas size from center point not default left upper corner)
I'm absolutely fine paying for it in version 2.0
    Thanks.

    Hi Ivar,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
There's already a (raster based) Perspective Tool and Mesh Warp Tool in Affinity Photo (see screenshot below). There also a Live Perspective Filer available (menu Layer ▸ New Live Filter Layer ▸ Perspective Filter).

    Hi Timespider,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
You can already skew objects in Designer. Move the mouse cursor to the centre handles of the object's bounding box coming from outside using the Move Tool. The cursor icon should change to two opposite arrows then click and drag to skew the object. Regarding distortions in Designer, the Mesh Warp Tool i'm referring to is not the same as the Perspective distortion you are showing in your screenshot. The Mesh Warp Tool distorts objects "organically/freely" dragging reference nodes from a grid over the object. The Perspective Tool uses vanishing points to distort the object as depicted in your screenshot (the "Distort" text). There's no eta for any specific features, sorry. They will be implemented/added as soon as they are ready.

    +1

Started to do some work in Photo and am missing this as well.

Otherwise, pretty happy with the software and not too difficult to adjust coming from Photoshop.
