Here's (attached below) some grid lines I knocked together by tiling an SVG of a 10x10 grid that I found with a google image search. Feel free to improve on it.
My use case is that I need to plan where to put the furniture in the apartment I am going to move into in a couple of weeks, and also what furniture to buy. I simply wanted to put little rectangles representing the furniture at a scale of 1 grid space to 10cm on a scan of the floor plan of the apartment. I tried using both CAD software and free apartment planning software, but they were complete nightmares to work with. However, Affinity Designer turns out to be a very good tool for the job in every respect, except for not printing out the grid lines. Putting this SVG of grid lines second layer from back (just above the scan of the floor plan), and resizing it to approximately match the scale indicated on the drawing, adds those missing printable grid lines.

    Hello everyone.
Recently I've bought some brushes to Affinity Designer. I'm trying to create a master category and then place the new brushes inside it but I couldn't find a way to do this... When I try to import the brushes with the my new category selected, AD just create another new one named as the brush pack I've bought... I really would like to organize my brush panel into a way I can find the packs easely.

    Thank you guys. Cheers!

    Hi' here !
Hope all is fine for everybody
Here is a request I would like to share. I saw many topics on the subject but not really answers or message that it's taken into account.
My suggestion is to improve brushes management.
    - Easier way to change brush : A context menu to change brush. It's quite annoying to cross all the screen in order to change the brush.
    - Easier way to find a brush : Get the name over the brush display et have a field in order to filter by name. When a lot of brush are in a category it's quite annoying to look for the wanted brush, lost amoung the others, again and again and again.
    - Sub-category : To avoid having many categories and avoiding looking for a brush lost amoung others it could be great to get sub-categories. For example Nature > Animals or Nature > Plants, ...

    Thanks in advance

dmmmd got a reaction from Chris B in Unexpected brush format
Since upgrading to Affinity Photo Mac version 1.7.2 I have been unable to load PS brushes. The error reads "unexpected brush format." MacBook Pro running MacOS Mojave 10.14.6.
    Example PS brush file attached.
    Thanks in advance for assistance.

For those who I have seen asking for general photo editing tutorials here is a great site that covers the basics: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/photo-editing-tutorials.htm

They also have many tutorials for how to take better photos as well. Hope this helps!
