  1. A short update... First, the good news: It seems to me that the assignment of packed notes is now working properly. The footnotes are displayed on the right page - just as it should be!

Now the bad news: but there is a new, different problem. If there are several lines of packed notes, then the footnotes are partly displayed on top of each other, e.g. on page 23 - see attachment.

I have packed the corresponding document and attach it as well.

Dear Affinity Team and @Gabe - this book that I am currently layouting (and there are the problems with the footnotes) should be printed quickly - but unfortunately it does not work because of the technical problems. I would be very grateful if you could solve the problem quickly in a beta. (I used 2.3!)

    Thank you

  2. hey @thomaso,

As you can see from the screenshot, the files are in the right place.

When I learn German words, the "de" file is changed immediately.

If I set "automatically by language" in the basic settings, the LocalDictionary file will be changed immediately.

If I set "Hrvatski" (= Croatian) in the basic settings - then the word is also learned immediately. In another publisher document, I can also use the learned word. And if I unlearn it, then it is no longer available in the other documents.

So it stays that way - where is this custom-file "hr"?

You wrote: Where is your general Croatian dictionary stored, maybe your custom dict file is saved in that folder, too? - See attachment

You wrote: Or: are you sure your word was learned successfully / does APub offer to "Unlearn" if you select the word now? - See attachment

Are you using Sonoma 14.1 by any chance?

    Yes, 14.1.

Interesting with all this is: as you can see in the picture, the user-specific file for German (de) is created and is visible and properly used.

Before I had deleted all the spelling files, there was also a Croatian user-specific file - it was called "it" and not "hr", which would have to be the abbreviation for croatian. But for a while, the added words were stored in it.

Ok - now I'll look for hidden files and come back....
