Hi, love the new release! However when I go to export pdf from either Publisher or Designer, the exported file has missing areas. I have tried different settings, but same thing happens. I thankfully I hadn’t deleted the old versions because I can export fine from them..haven’t tried the iPad version export yet. any advice you can relay would be much appreciated..keep up the excellent work! eric

Darn, special character! Never thought to display those. Those hard line breaks came in when I imported and I never bothered to check. Thanks one and all for your help!!

I have a situation where I created a paragraph style which works great for most of the text I put in. However, it completely screws up the leading in some text blocks while applying it correctly in others. Even if I copy some correctly formatted text from one block and paste it into the block that is screwed up, the pasted text comes in perfectly and the other text still stays screwed up even in the same paragraph. I have tried taking the original text and pasting into Text Edit and remove any previously applied style and then saving the text as a plain text file. And even when I import that and reapply the paragraph style, the same thing happens. I have tried everything I know and nothing can get that text to look correct. Has anyone run into this problem? If so how did you fix it? I am baffled. Also, I forgot to mention that when I put the cursor in the correctly formatted text, the style in the context toolbar says "basic text". When I bring the cursor down to the incorrectly formatted text the context toolbar says "basic text +". How can that be in one paragraph? And where does the + come from when I have stripped all prior formatting out before placing it? I can't seem to clear that +. I am attaching a screen shot of how this looks in one text block. Thetop 4 lines have the correct leading and the rest show how the leading gets compressed, even though both sections list the leading to be 13pt. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

HI all, I love the update version of designer on the iPad. However, I noticed that my fonts in the drop down menu are no longer in alphabetical order. It’s tough to navigate even when you know which font your want because it can be anywhere in the list. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks

I am trying to delete documents on the iPad, but the “delete” option isn’t listed when I hit the hamburger icon to the right. It only lists save, duplicate, rename and close. So how do I delete unneeded documents? On a similar note, how do you open a document that you saved and closed? thanks!

HI Rob, Thanks for the answers. Unfortunately I think I posted in the wrong forum. I was asking about the function on the Ipad. I don't have an issue on my mac, but the way you have to switch between the pen and node on the ipad is sort of annoying. Also, you can't adjust just one side of the bezier curve with the node on the ipad. Both adjust at once so it is very difficult to draw accurately. I am hoping that they can let you use a finger on screen while you are using the apple pencil that will act like a modifier key on a keyboard. Keeping my fingers crossed anyway.

I would love it if you could easily toggle to the node tool while drawing with the pen tool. It would make drawing masks much quicker. Or even if you could choose one of the bezier handles with the pen and adjust it that way. Now, if I click on one of the control points with my pen it drops another point instead of letting me adjust the handle angle. On a related note, please let the node tool adjust just one side of a Bézier curve. I'm try to crest an accurate mask and if use the node to adjust one side the other side adjusts as well. Can't get a good mask like that. Thanks

Thanks for the info, Callum. Let me ask you one other related question. When you do choose a point with the node tool, is there a way to only adjust one Bezier control handles? It seems the if I adjust one handle the other adjusts as well. It is very thought to draw an accurate mask if you can't adjust one handle at a time. Thanks again for answering my first question.

Is there anyway to toggle between the pen and node tool when using the pen on the ipad? I use this feature all the time in PS by pressing modifier keys while drawing a path and the pen switches to node and when I release the key it goes back to the pen. It is very quick and I use it daily. I was hoping that there might be a way to do this on the Ipad version of Photo. So far loving the ipad version, but am getting used to interface. Thanks!

I am really loving Designer! I can see myself using this more and more as my go to vector design program. However I still have to go back to Illustrator to do simple 3d effects, (revolve, extrude and rotate). Also, I haven't been able to figure out a way to have multiple strokes and fills on a single element. I use the appearance panel constantly in Illustrator and would love to have something similar in Designer. Thanks for helping many of us break or Adobe chains!!

Thanks for getting back to me. I set it to automatic and now it seems to work for any stroke that I draw with the pen or pencil tool, which is great. However I also set it to automatic for the vector brush tool and nothing changed there. Hey two out of three is pretty good. Any ideas on why the program isn't remembering any of my past saved documents? Thanks again
