  1. It has been discussed on the forum many times but Affinity team is strict upon this -- 3 separate apps, not one. I am also for one app, but at least they could join APh and AD into one because of many features they share.
  2. Speaking about Adobe... As I've heard (read) somewhere, they have different teams for developing PS, AI and ID and they don't colaborate but compete between themselves. It results on same features working differently in the other 2 apps. In the (near) future these 3 apps will have exactly the same features but with different approach. They, also, started to add something that do not belong to some of the apps, like: 3D modeling and video editing in PS, text/paragraph styles and photo effects in AI...
  3. @affi.usr: I used to be professional programmer during '85-'95, so I also know how much it takes to do something. But... every new feature must be tested how it cooperates with other features and, in Affinity case, with different OS's, different versions of OS's, drivers... That was irony about. :)
  4. "Importing" from Quark, InDesign... is only possible via PDF. Never mentioned there is not additional work to finished it. By now, there is a need of extremelly hard work, strong nerves, and it is almost impossible if you need to produce TOC, tables, footnotes...
  5. Just be patient. When you come back from the market, it will be ready expecially for you. And in the next few days you will have a monster, at least 10 times better than Photoshop, because it's thaaaaaaaaat easy. :)
  6. By converting into PDF and importing to Designer or Publisher when it comes out.
  7. What about those who have the previous version? Is update available and how, or we have to buy it again?
  8. Any chance asking the user to choose which color space (s)he preffers?
  9. Hi, I think it depends on how you create the new document. If you choose "Print (Press ready)" it will be prepared in CMYK and so the PDF. Otherwise, it will be created as RGB document.
  10. It would be nice if guides are set on separate layer and possibly grouped into folders to control the color, which of them will be vissible or not...
  11. Yes, I know. But, using them for everyday tasks is the best testing method.
  12. Hi, is it possible, because now Betas don't come out so frequently, not to time restrict them? I am using them them because they are newer than retail versions and they have more fixes done.
  13. And you work with them, you are in their office, so you know for sure? Wow. If you think they lie, why don't you simply leave this forum and forget Affinity so the rest of us can breathe freely?
  14. It is up to you being thankful or not. You will not change anything. They have their plans and will stick to them firmly because they think "they know what they are doing" (Sledge Hammer). It would be much better for them, and for us, too if they find somebody expirienced proffesional person to explain them what to add into and how to organize the apps.
  15. Yep, wait until it becomes available and everything will be OK. Just :) don't be so Dark.
  16. When starting Beta/Retail version it will inform you ONLY if there is a new version. You can check on Forum under "Affinity Beta support" for Betas or "News and information" under "Affinity support" for retail versions. You don't need to delete neither Betas nor Retails because instalation program do it for you. You can delete it only if you want to completelly remove it from your disk.
  17. @Dark Clown: (being serious): why do you need any Beta? You have retail one.
  18. Are you saying it is all vector? Have you inspected it in Designer? I forgot to mention that I use Office 2007. I've just tried with PDF, but it wants to rasterize the complete table and chart.
