Cynthiaket reacted to kterry333 in Using Photoshop Brush Tool Presets
I have acquired quite a few really solid photoshop brush tool presets over the years but I haven't found a way to use them either Affinity product. Is there something I am missing or is this not currently supported? Any plans to add compatibility? Thanks!

Cynthiaket reacted to sergio in Paste in place for artboards
Currently, if I copy-paste between artboards, the objected pasted on another artboard is centered on the artboard, instead of getting the same coordinates it has(s) in the artboard it came from.

This is inconsistent with the copy-paste behavior within the same artboard, so it would be nice nice if paste in place worked across artboards as well.

I've just started using Affinity today and have already watched several inpainting tutorials and when i go and do it it doesn't work. It clones instead. So for instance when on a pic with 2 people I am trying to get rid of the person behind but when it does it it brings up the other persons head!

What am i doing wrong? i have chosen background and made sure that i have chosen the right tool and i am in photo persona - it's very frustrating as it's supposed to be very easy to use!

Cynthiaket reacted to BJA 42 in Affinity 4.1
I'm 79, I am lucky, Lucky that affinity has been developed now, I have been with photoshop since year dot. And  in my latter years it has forgotten us all. But then a miracle happened called AFFINITY who brought back everything into perspective. I am retired engineer, professional photographer, retired- but now I have Affinity. I have recently seen the update 4.1 and what it offers, developers & photographers are extremely lucky to be able to come into contact with such a skilled and effective group. I have only been a member of affinity for two months and yet when I saw the update I realised how lucky I was to have such a fantastic software. You do not have to have hi Photoshop skills, here  developers and forums Will help you all the way. I was fortunate to have a holiday a month ago in Singapore, having sold all of my hi end Canon equipment but purchasing a simple Canon SX50, I returned with over 2000 shots, but now with the help of affinity I am able to realise my return to Singapore from over 40 years ago. I cannot thank affinity enough

Would be good if the last used font could be remembered for each session or even just remember it for the user to change.  For example when printing a batch of certificates, with just a name change in each one, its necessary to manually replace the font and size between loading documents.

Cynthiaket reacted to Scrubelicious in Shape export to Apples Motion
    Hi,

what are the chances to receive the option to export Vector shapes into Shapes for Apple Motion?
This is a option I would love to see, which would push me away further from Adobe Illustrator.

We create most of our Logos in Illustrator and run a script to export the vector shapes for Apple Motion.

This would be a great feature for motion graphic artist that use Apple Motion!

    Thanks

Cynthiaket reacted to Matthias in Alt-clicking the document title should reveal Finder hierarchy
    Hi guys,
now that the Save as command works as expected on a Mac (in Beta 1.0.21212 the document name is not untitled anymore), maybe you reconsider another OS X shortcut: Alt-clicking the document title should reveal Finder hierarchy. It is much easier, nicer and deeper than the current Reveal in Finder command plus it’s standard on OS X.

I use this feature very often to quickly get where I have to and I really miss it in AD.

    Greetings
    Matthias

Cynthiaket reacted to KipV in Affinity in the Amazon featured review section (for Photoshop)
Earlier this year I wrote a review on the Photoshop CC page at Amazon describing the advantages that Sketch had over Photoshop. The review got a lot of positive votes and rose to the featured reviews section. Now that I found out about Affinity Designer I gave some equal time talking about it in my review. If anyone here would like to mark the review as helpful it will keep it in the featured section and will be a great way to give Affinity more exposure to potential Adobe customers. See the following link to get to the review:

    http://www.amazon.com/review/R37N9QYFC1JY6L/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00CS75KKI&nodeID=229534&store=software

I also would have mentioned Affinity in my Illustrator review as well but to be honest it didn't get rated very high. If someone would like to do a review comparing Illustrator to Affinity in the Illustrator section that should give it some good exposure. A lot of the reviews just focus on being anti-Adobe but rarely give you suggestions for what you should replace Adobe with. I am glad someone mentioned Affinity in the Adobe forums and I am sure many Amazon customers would appeciate knowing about this software as well.
