  1. I would like to submit a request for GeoTIFF metadata support. This is a popular format in cartography and similar industries. Since GeoTIFF is compatible with the TIFF standard, Affinity Photo is able to open the image. Unfortunately, the typical GeoTIFF tags are irretrievably lost in this process. At the moment, there are few graphics programs that support GeoTIFF metadata, e.g. GIMP. I don't expect Affinity to fully support this type of files as it is a graphics program, but the ability to edit files without losing metadata would be a nice addition.
  2. At the moment, the appearance panel does not work very well for groups. I think it would be useful to be able to give a hierarchy for strokes and fills for the whole group. For example, the ability to display strokes for all objects on one hierarchy level, instead of one above the other.
  3. - Designer 2 (2.3.0) - System: Windows 10 - Hardware acceleration: OFF I have noticed that the appearance panel behaves strangely when I want to change the group settings. - It won't let you add stroke or fill, even though there is an option to do so when you right-click. Although no additional stroke appears, the 'Add fill' action in the history panel pops up. - Does not allow you to change the stroke/fill order, but you can do this via the dropdown stroke menu. - Allows you to change stroke/fill colour and stroke thickness and use all functions from the dropdown stroke menu. Bug.mp4 I'm guessing, however, that the panel was designed to work on objects rather than groups, but as the behaviour between panels is inconsistent, I think this is a bug. At the same time, I think adding the ability to change the appearance for a group would be useful, so I'm also adding a 'suggestion' in the forum for that.
  4. I think it would be useful to have a tool in the Designer to offset an open path. At the moment I don't see such a possibility. There are workarounds e.g. using Contour Tool and splitting the path, or adding extra Strokes in the Appearance panel. I am not sure if a separate tool is needed for this. Maybe it would be possible to extend the functionality of the Contour Tool by adding an option to offset the path when it is open, instead of making a buffer around it.
  5. Feel free to merge or remove this thread if such a suggestion has already been made. Currently, you can smooth paths in two ways (Correct me if I'm wrong): 'Smooth curve' tool which works globally on the curve and has no settings. Or 'Convert to Smooth/Smart' which works on selected vertices. It would be nice if Designer V2 had a brush like tool for smoothing curves, with tolerance settings for better control over smoothing. There is a similar tool in Adobe Illustrator.
