Yes, the bug report you mentioned does seem similar; we'll have to read the support thread you included here more carefully, but after scanning the thread, our issue appears to be the same issue @Marathon1908 was having. Their first screenshot seems to show exactly the problem we are having, so we will assume it's a bug and just use the work arounds suggested in the thread, for now. And re: Capitals > Default is named Normal on Windows. Maybe it's a typo? Thank you for all of your help. We appreciate it.

If we understand you correctly, we made the change you suggested but the problem did not resolve. Now a different font and other attributes are showing up next to the text style. Hi All, Hoping someone can help. We're having a few problems with our APub v. 2.4.1 ISSUE #1: The font, font size, etc. for our APub's [No Style] has suddenly changed. We understood that users cannot change the [No Style] text style (or can they?) so we're not sure how this happened. How do we fix this, please? Please see screenshot. We've tried opening the 'settings' and pressing the "Reset Text Styles" button but nothing happens. ISSUE #2: When we place/import/copy&paste text from MS Word, the text is not placing correctly. We import the MS Word doc, delete the Normal text style that imports with Word. When we apply the text style we've set up, the text populates into the frames unevenly. Along with randomly placed text, for some reason when we apply the text style we created, ALL SMALL CAPS keeps showing up alongside the text style. We have to keep updating the text style to make that go away but the placed text shifts again if we make any change and we have to reupdate the text style again. This happens if we import text or copy/paste text. Screenshots attached. We've tried deleting the text boxes on the Master pages and drawing them again. We've deleted the entire file and started over. The problem persists. ISSUE #3: The text frames on the master pages won't link. We set up Master A and drew a text frame on the right-hand size. We set up Master B and drew text frames on both sides. When we try to link the text frame on Master A to the text frame on the left-hand side of Master B, nothing happens. No linking occurs. We've tried deleting the text frame on Master A and redrawing it. We've tried deleting the text frames on Master A and Master B and redrawing them. We've tried deleting Master A and B and re-doing them. We've tried deleting the entire file and starting over again. The problem still persists. We hope someone can assist us with resolving these issues. We are not sure if we have done something that has caused them and we can't figure out how to fix them. Thank you.

Please to tell me what to do if I own 1 Affinity product and want try another (Photo). If getting the trail will this interrupt program already I own when trial expires because free trails says is for all programs but already I own one program. Thank you.

@kenmcd Again thanking you very much for the help you give. Font is now rendering correct. It was as you say I had install both OTF and TTF versions at same time. I uninstall both and put only TTF and font renders correct now.

No, thank you very much. No, not know this. Maybe explain why Endless free font is not render correcting when exported. Just now I do what you suggesting and waiting five minutes. Still font is smash together. Maybe I try uninstall all fonts (regular and catchwords) and see if this work. I come back and tell to you what happen.

@kenmcd thanks for such good information. How to know if free font has this multi-mapping please? Same problem I am having with this Endless Sorrow Free font. Font Is okay and render fine inside Apub on Windows but when export it look like this Is suppose look like this

@Intuos5 I have much gratitude to you for explanation and videos. Your explanation is very good. I play around now and I find that I am understanding better the baseline grid using your example. Also too, thank you for information about leading. I was sometimes changing this trying to improve visual look of text. Now I will leave leading alone.

Hello, I hoping for assistance again with baseline grids/bottoming text in Apub. This topic is one topic I struggling with. Grids i think in general are providing to me challenge, but I'm concern most about bottoming text in Apub so text is aligned good and has nice, clean appearance for reader. Some points I have questions for: 1/ how to determine number for baseline grid. I'm read before that font point is the baseline grid number you use, but this not always true I know. What I'm not know is when baseline grid number is to be different and why is to be different. This one example of questions I have. 2/ leading is concerned with the baseline grid. What informs me to know what to set the leading to? Thanking you for patience to help me in this.

@Jeremy R Thank you. I did try what you say but still it give to me the problem I show. Yes, @thomaso text appears if I paste frame onto empty page. This why I not know why text not show on page with image. I know I do something wrong but cannot find out what before I post my question. @anto always your videos are helpful. @Jeremy R thanks for this. I follow your good directions exactly, but problem I having: text in captions box (text frame create for caption) does not show and tells to me text is overflow. But is not overflow. Please to see screenshot. Am I do something wrong? Do you know why this happen and how to fix, please?
