  1. Yes that's an option. However, I opted to close the 'Chapter Adobe Software'. Its why I went to Affinity suite in the first place. Its pretty unfortunate that we have to go through many of such sidesteps to make such interactive forms. To get rid of these extra steps it would be really nice if Serif could implement such feature in Affinity Publisher. I think this is a long open request that's still due to be implemented, hope to see this request moving up the priority list.
  2. As so many things these days are fully digital, interactive forms are a must these days to have. Affinity, please consider this option, I think many designers are in need for this option. Please make it a priority implementation.
  3. Thanks! That solved the issue. I've never seen that panel before... 🤣. Seems like there is always something new to learn with Publisher.
  4. I have been playing around with the TOC and Page numbers. Now I must have done something that scr&#Ed up the formatting. How can I make the page numbers in the TOC to outline them to the right again? I know its probably really simple, but just can't find the way to do it.
  5. Perfect! I am already on the beta, but wasn't aware this feature has now been implemented. Couldn't find it at first, but then tried to see if there was an update, and there we have it. Thank you for implementing this feature request.
  6. Yikes, not what I had hoped to hear. So still work to do for the affinity development team to add this. Any reason why Affinity/Serif didn't add this feature yet? Its common to have the need for a caption below an image.
  7. Bing Chat..... I know.... don't trust too much on AI yet. 🤣 But still is it possible to add a caption, or not. And if so, how without having to add an extra text frame under the image. There should (must) be a consistent and repetitive way to add captions to images? I know I can make a picture frame, group it and make it an asset. But then when you change the aspect ration of the image, the caption gets distorted. That's not what I want.
  8. I want to add a caption to a picture frame. Shouldn't be too difficult.... I thought. Found this online: add a caption to a picture frame in Affinity Publisher 2, follow these steps: 1 Select the picture frame by clicking on it. 2 Go to the "Properties" panel on the right side of the interface. 3 In the "Caption" section of the panel, click the checkbox to enable captions. 4 Enter the text for your caption in the "Caption text" field. Simple I thought.... But... my eyes must be deceiving me as I can not find the proper 'properties panel', and so can't find the caption section either. What and where am I overlooking this? Please help me, as its driving me a little insane today
  9. Thank you! - You're my saviour for today!!! I knew it was something simple like this. Just moved over from indesign and couldn't find this feature in Publisher. Thanks this simple setting solved my problem!
  10. I didn't know how to exactly describe the topic, sorry for that My problem with Publisher is that I do not know how to get a text (in my case a page numbering) inside a circle the problem is cause by some text wrapping done in the first layer. As you may see in the attached picture. The first layer consists of a picture frame with a picture put inside. This first layer has wrapping set to 30 pixels (all sides). This is done because on the left side of this picture there is a text frame containing body text for the document I am working on. On top I have placed a circle. This circle has no wrapping set. On top of the circle I want to place a text frame containing page numbering. The page numbering is not visible and I am pretty sure (though I could be mistaken) it is due to a wrapping issue. My question is, how do I get a text frame with text inside this circle, or better said on top of that circle. Please help me, I am stuck!
  11. Thanks for your reply. Yes I am aware of the PDF publishing via print option. Just make sure the 'paper size' is set to document size of the project to have a correct PDF output.
  12. Thanks for your reply. I am a Mac user, so there are a dozen of options still available. However coming from Indesign, it is mostly these smaller things that I am still missing in Publisher. Would be nice if Serif could add these features to Publisher. Its just an extra step I have to do now, while it would be nice to just export and set the security level of what a user is allowed do with the document. The content I am working on is not what I would call very confidential. Still client wants to have some security build into the document. Most likely (i think) because of possible legal issues.
  13. It may have been asked before, but couldn't see any other topic of it. Is there any way how to create (export) a password protected PDF for your documents? I am working on a confidential investors relation document in Publisher 2 that need some extra protection. But the export module says 'NO' to me as in it isn't available? What am I overlooking here?
