Also Ctrl+runup may do the trick without a designated option for toolbars. Just try it, close the app and restart pc.

It is just to be added through the customize tools option in the regular menu. Drag the tool to the panel and/or use the reset button.

Usually I ctrl+runup and restart pc, in this instance I actually did not and it worked out of the box after adding it to the tools panel.

Perhaps add a node on the textpath with the nodetool where the trim needs to be and delete the section or last node to actually trim.

Seriously? Serious users are here. Non serious users leave when it doesn't suit their needs. Other non serious users never come here because they use it instead of discussing it. Non users don't come here. The real question is though; Why are there so many people posting nonessential topics and keep on discussing these topics to fill their days. And by doing so, making it for the (new) user,seeking answers, so difficult. And boy are there some bone scrapers here. But yes a general chat forum that could be ignored/blocked from the streams by the members, could be the solution.

Strange thing is that if one adds the pinning object to the regular page with edit linked it doesn't get applied either to the masterpage object but also the pinning object is fully editable without editing linked or detached thereafter. However on arttext it does work for masterpages but only if there's no textframe present as it will first try to pin to a textframe(??) and not the arttext object.

Yes that's one of the downsides when using the afpub file but if you do the same with a pdf file it will break up the textflow.

Clicking only the document inside the canvas crashes right away, when clicking the items in the layers panel first it doesn't. (2.4.2 on win 11)

Yes but if one wants to use placing, an afpub has more options to be edited in a new tab in comparison to a pdf(like text grouping, linked/embedded)

I think this is a bug as with all my trials with your file and a new file it seems the bleed is doubled while using exporting the including bleed setting(pdf). I did export as jpeg and png with including bleed and there it is correctly handled.

Try Menu>Layer>Geometry>Separate Curves on the 3 path layers. This will breakup all the curves but will make them all the same color though.
