  1. I currently work on a M1 mac mini with 16GB RAM and all three Affinity apps run fast and smooth. If you plan to work with lots of layers I think v_kyr's advice should be taken into account, but I can confirm that the Mini can handle these apps perfectly.
  2. For the original cube graphic, if you convert your shapes to curves I think you'll get what you seek.
  3. In Filtros --> Enfocar, the first option should be «Máscara de enfoque» and not «Máscara de desenfoque», wich is just the opposite.
  4. Bearing in mind that there are pretty decent free or inexpensive third party options out there, I think it is a waste of time to code it into Designer. In fact, I don't rely on one single tracer, having two already installed plus an online one, as they provide different results. So, for me, having one more tracer built into Designer should be nice, but absolutely not important.
  5. Thanks, MEB; Point is: Why doesn't 'clicking on the group and applying expand stroke' work? I think it is the more intuitive way. (Although your solution is far more logical than mine, I admit )
  6. One more issue regarding 'expand stroke': I wrote a text, converted to curves; then added a 1p. stroke. Then applied 'expand stroke'. Result: none... until I double-clicked on each letter individually and applied 'expand stroke', and then it worked. Not a huge issue, but I spent some working time until I found the workaround.
  7. Same OSX Sierra bug here on Photo. It crashes when opening the preferences.
  8. Hi; I've found an unexpected behaviour (unexpected for me, of course) when adding a text to a circle shape. I was trying to write the text all around the circle by outside, but instead when I've written half the text, it jumps down and to the inner part of the circle (see attached image). Is there any way to prevent this, a workaround, or I'm doing sthing wrong? Thanks in advance; Val
  9. Hi MEB; It happened with two different files when exporting them to the 'document' folder. I've applied the 'dfine' plugin to them, sharpening and cropping before exporting. The files are Fujifilm RAF. There were no problems with the previous MAS version. I'll try to reproduce it and tell you more. Val [edit] Well... did the same steps with the same files an everything seems to work fine. Apparently, a system reboot solved the problem.
  10. Bug: Uploaded raw photos into AP, edited them, tried to export as JPG. When clicking on 'save' the export window hangs, not saving the document and not allowing to hit cancel button. Only force-quitting makes it dissapear. Using Mac Os Sierra. Regards; Val [edit] it happens with any export format.
  11. Hi, MacMyDay; This option may be only an Affinity Photo Beta feature yet, so if you're running the Mac Apple Store version it might not appear, I'm not sure about that. Other possibility is that you haven't checked the proper option in the System Preferences panel: go to system preferences/extensions and look for Affinity Photo, there you will see all options available. If the 'edit in affinity photo' checkbox isn't there, I think I'm right and you're running the MAS version and it does not support this feature yet.
  12. I mean, Is it possible to see the Aperture, ISO and Exposure data of a given photo without having to go into Develop Persona? When shooting in RAW it is not a problem since the photo is obviously opened directly in Develop Persona, but in JPG I must go to Develop Persona to see the info and back to Photo persona to perform adjustments I want. Thanks; Val
  13. Hi; More a question than a request, let me know what you think. Currently, if I apply an adjustment over an image, when I close its window the adjustment keeps selected, forcing to manually select the original layer in order to perform other tasks. For example: let's play with the levels... ok, it's good. Now let's apply some focus... mmmh ¿why is it not working? Oh, the layer is unselected. Now let's apply some intensity... but I'm seeing some noise; as the noise filter doesn't work well yet, let's go to develop persona. ¿What? ¿An error message? Oh, it's the layer becaming unselected again. I'ts a bit annoying... ¿Should be more logical to keep the layer you came from selected after applying an adjustment? What do you think? Val
  14. No, just the opposite: the sliders work well, but as the number remains '0' I cannot do it with precision. The changes are reflected correctly. Tried a computer restart and resetting the program with no result. Here's a screen capture; you can see the slider moved to its bottom right with no change in the number. Thanks for the response; Val [edit] Mac mini, mid. 2011 running El Capitan
  15. I've noticed that no matter what I do with the contrast or brightness sliders, the number at its right never changes. The adjustment works fine, only the number is not. If I enter a value manually and hit enter, the slider reacts properly, but the number remains 0. I've also noticed that it shows 'px', instead of '%'. Regards; Val [edit] It happens with all the adjustements.
  16. Hi; I'm giving the AfP extensions a try; regarding Apple Photo app, i've found this issue: I've loaded a bunch of JPG images into Photos. Selected one, clicked 'edit'; looked for the AfP extensions and selected the 'edit in affinity photo' one. Image loads into AfP normally. Edited it, exported, then closed. Back in Photos, clicked on Cancel in order to preserve the original. Then I selected a second photo and repeated the steps. When selecting the AfP extension, Apple Photo tries to load it into AfP, but the document never gets opened. Pressing cancel or closing the app brings a message indicating that the edition is in progress, but the document never gets loaded into AfP. Quitting Apple Photos and reopening it brings me to step 1: can edit the first image, but hangs on the second. My camera's RAW format isn't compatible with Photos, so I cannot tell you if this is a JPG issue or a general one. Regards; Val
  17. This also happened to me. AP got stuck at 'creting tone map' and had to shut down to prevent my mac from exploding. As in toto's issue, many photos were open in different tabs (ten, I think). Maybe I was pushing my little mac mini beyond its limits. Regards; Val
  18. Hi; Found a little language error in the menus. The option associated to cmm-Z, Undo, is correctly written when there's nothing to undo: 'deshacer'. But when an action has been performed, for example 'transformar', it changes to 'rehacer transformar'. It should be 'deshacer transformar'. It happens in both apps (and in the MAS version too). Regards; Val
  19. Hi; I'm having trouble with the develop persona. All the options work correctly except the noise reduction one; I'm able to use it, make the changes properly to the image, but when I hit the develop button those changes are lost. It only happens with noise reduction, any other setting I use works fine and remains after develop. Did anyone encounter something similar? Thanks; Val
  20. Shit... I knew it was a stupid thing... It seems I'm still used to other apps. Many thanks. V.
  21. Hi; I've noticed that I cannot make multiple selections. I mean, I use the marquee tool to select an area, then press Shift and use the marquee tool in a different area. The first selection area dissappears. This happens with any selection tool, including magic wand. Missing something? Thanks; Val
  22. Strange. If I do what you say, the app just opens the file in a new tab, no dialogue.
