Hey, I wonder if a built-in normal map generator is planned for future releases of Affinity Photo such as the plugin asset described in the followng tutorial: The generator should - like Photoshops "Generate normal map" or GIMPs "Normal map" feature - then create a normal map from a diffuse picture that can be used for bump mapped materials in other tools like Blender or Unity. Would be great if that could be available in the future as an adjustment layer or the like. Best Regards JZ
  2. Ah I just saw this Issue by accident. I had the same issue and I could fix it by running the app as Admin. So right click the App icon and select "Run as Administrator". Then suddenly you are able to register without problems. This seems to be necessary only once! After registration you will be able to download the contents even when you are not running it as admin.
  3. Hey, I recently bought two new PCs for me and my wife. We have been using the Affinity Suite quite successfully on our old Desktops with Windows 10. After getting the new ones I thought: let's just install Windows 11 on both new computers. Now when trying to log into our Affinity accounts inside the app we get the following error message (in all different Affinity products) right after hitting the "already registered? button": "Sorry, an error occurred during sign up or sign in. - Timeout while contacting the registration service ("Ready"-Message)" This will surely not be the correct wording in English, I had to translate it from German, but I guess you know what I mean. Solution Now just while typing these sentences I found the solution, that I now want to share if anyone has the same problem: - Optional: Open Windows-Firewall and add Applications to firewall exception list - Crucial: Run as Administrator Running as Admin is only needed during first start. After registration is complete, the next times you start the app this is also working without Admin rights. I hope this one helps someone that might face the same problems. Best Regards, Jensolo

  5. I am sorry, I think I did not make it clear that I am looking for a smooth way to rotate the whole canvas. When drawing on a tablet like IPad you can use a two-finger gesture to rotate the canvas to a suitable rotation when you want to draw a line that is a bit more challenging. I have setup the hotkeys for rotating the canvas but this has the downside that if you e.g. have to rotate a lot, you press the buttons 10 times. That works much better when looking at the "Move Canvas" Handtool or the Zoomtool... And you only have to link one button for those tools...

  7. Hey, I am facing some instable crashes in the latest time. In order not to lose to much work it would be great if you could configure the autosave interval even to higher rates like e.g. once per minute... Thanks for considering... Best Regards, Jensolo
  8. Hey, an eraser tool for vector brushes would be great. Just like a pixel brush this would then have a certain width. Each vector brush line will then be cut directly where the eraser hits it and a new point will be created to cut the vector line correctly. Thanks for considering... Best Regards Jensolo
  9. Hey, for both Photo and Designer a rotation tool would be great, that could be bound to a single button of the graphic tablet. Just like the move and zoom tool the canvas could then be rotated by touching and moving the artboard with the stylus pen. Thanks for considering... Best Regards Jensolo
  10. Hey, Ok, I just solved the problem by setting the affinity sttings for the tablet input method from "low accuracy" to "windows ink". After a restart the issue was gone... just as a hint for other people having the same troubles... Jensolo
  11. Hey, I also have the same problems with the Daub W&W Brushes bought in the affinity store. I use a Huion Kamwas 15 with Affinity Photo 1.10. Is there any solution already?? Thanks in advance... Jensolo
