Got it, @GabrielM - it wasn't really responsive to touch but worked much better with the Apple Pencil. I'm slowly getting to grips with the apps and with Affinity's interface - thanks for the replies and the help of the Serif community too

@toltec I want to put a border around an image. Problem with me being a newbie in Affinity is that I don’t know how to go about doing this. I think I did put a rectangular layer effect using outline but it just put a solid rectangle on top of the image thus hiding it. Any suggestions would be more that welcome.

@GabrielM it seems that it’s somewhat insensitive to touch controls and more responsive to Apple Pencil. I can now resize etc. Thanks!

That is the problem though: I do that and I can indeed move and rotate the image - cannot resize/scale it though. Funny thing is that I can do this on Affinity Designer but not in Photo. Is it a bug?

How can I scale/transform an image layer in Affinity Photo (iPad)?

I'm trying to get to grips with the Affinity suite on the iPad (Photo and Designer) and cannot seem to find anything related to a relatively basic feature such as transforming an image layer on iPad. Found something for the desktop version but it does not seem to apply to the iPad interface.

[CMYK files not opening properly on Affinity Photo]

I am trying to work with tiff files that are CMYK and fairly large. The "large" part isn't the problem - it's the fact that my files are improperly shown, just one part of it and never the whole image.

I'm sure that there is nothing wrong with the file because they open just fine in photoshop right off the bat.

Please help me out, I really need to get this done for a big project and would like to go Adobe-free as soon as humanly possible.

Glad you liked it - this is actually a piece for my colouring books that I've published on Amazon. Other people are supposed to colour them for me :P

I'm also fairly new to vector drawing apps so I really don't know how to properly colour anything - need to learn the tools first. Will get there eventually.

We are not currently aware of any issues like this, there are some compatibility issues with El Capitan. Which version of OS X are you running?

Hello and thanks for the welcome. I'm on Yosemite so no chance of beta bugs. Bear in mind that the crashes are getting more frequent now. Should I uninstall and reinstall the application?

Is it me or does Designer just crash when you leave the Mac alone for a couple of seconds? The app repeatedly crashed today for no reason - hope it gets patched soon.
