  1. This really made my day!!! Thanks for sharing your finding ☺️
  2. Link please? (having the same issue in v2.0.4)
  3. +1 dreaming of the day I'll be able to do my blend operations inside Affinity.
  4. That is precisely what I needed! I actually didn't know that I needed to link my categories, I just assumed it would happen automatically. Anyways, I started linking my swatches and assets, as per the article you shared, and they are now accessible across the 3 different programs. Thank you ☺️
  5. I know this is an old theme, but I have the exact same issue, only in v.2 When I purchased the 2.0 and read that my palettes brushes and assets are now shared via the Studio link, I thought this was in-between all three programs. For example - I create a palette in Designer, open Photo (etc.) and it's there. But now in Publisher, I have a palette created, and when I switch to Designer Persona via the studio link to edit a vector element that originates form Publisher, I don't see the palette - what am I missing? If that makes any difference, the palette in question was created in v.1 and then auto imported when I installed v 2. In the long run, I'd totally organize and export/import all of my colors (and brushes/assets), but for now I'll just make a rectangle with the color I need, copy it and paste it in where I need to use it. Also, do you know if there's an explanation what do all of the icons mean in front of the palettes? I have a link, a broken link (I think I deleted this one in the originator software), a page document (I get this one), and a rectangle with a cogwheel. Please help 😂 EDIT: I just exported a palette from Publisher, opened Designer (software - not Persona), imported the palette and it has been renamed to "My Palette 2". The original name in Publisher is simply "My Palette". I don't see the original "My palette" in Designer. Is that a bug that I need to wait out, or is it a matter of setting that I'm not aware of?
  6. +1 requesting being able to invert mask in Designer. I know I can use a huge black brush, or switch personas to flood fill everything black, or switch to Photo, but that is adding too much steps to the workflow and slowing it down. Also not everyone has the entire suite (but if they could, they totally should).
  7. +1 requesting a Simplify function for AD. Opening another program to do this action defeats the purpose in working in AD, at least in my case. So I'm really, really hoping that a basic use option such as this one will find its way into the program sooner rather than later. P.S. I love all the new features in AD2, keep up the amazing work 👏
  8. Like I said, I didn't find that topic (I'm not an avid forum user, so I'm easily confused in the navigation here); and google results lead me to this thread instead. For people like me, a simple hyperlink would solve this issue and make the update process quick and seamless.
  9. I too think the changelog info should be in the same page as the download, even if it's a hyperlink to the forum where it's posted, it will be immensely helpful to have that ready for us. I wanted to see the changelog for Publisher, clicked trough the entire Affinity site, came to the forums, clicked through multiple forum sections browsing the topics, gave up and googled it. That's how I found this thread, but not the thread with the changelog. Subscribing to a forum thread is a good idea (if you know which one), but if you don't act immediately upon receiving the notification for a new post, you'd still have to go through your email and search for that link, which will in turn also take up your time and you will potentially get distracted and forget what you were trying to do before the whole process started (as is the case with me). Kindly please consider this thread, it would streamline updating the software by a lot.
  10. I've had a similar situation where I was only seeing the installed fonts, but not the activated ones. At first I thought because there's no plugin in FontBase for AD, but then I found out that FontBase actually needs to run in order to see and use the activated fonts 🤯🤯 And as a diligent manager of my computer's resources I've had it disabled for starting with the system startup. Don't be me and run your manager before you run your programs lol.
  11. My thought process was that I don't know what programs the print shop will be working with, and if they use Illustrator, or Corel for example, I would like to ensure they can open a file with the Affinity brush applied and will see exactly the same thing that I designed. I guess I never thought about the EPS being outdated, it is such a common file that is shared with me, and shared by me. But as per your advise, I will export in PDF.
  12. OK, so then how do I prep a file for print? I will most likely be sending an EPS format to the client as a more universal option and I want to make sure nothing breaks when it is opened on the other computer. Thank you for the quick and detailed explanation and for the welcomes
  13. This got me thinking, if working in Publisher will maybe help with things displaying correctly? I know you can can place / incorporate AFDSGNR files into all of the programs and Publisher does have a package function, which will, well, package everything into a bundle? Unless, of course it breaks when opening on another PC. If @MEB or another MOD could let us know? It's another story when prepping large scale files (think big posters etc.) for print - the only thing that I found was rasterizing the brush as an image, but that is ... well bad. I'm hesitant to do this as I don't want my clients getting a surprise quality.
