  1. Thank you! I searched the forums for "eye dropper" for other bug reports but didn't think to search for "colour picker"
  2. Selecting stroke and fill colors with the eyedropper tool in the Appearance tab no longer works starting in version 2.4.0. I tested by rolling back to 2.3.1 and it works fine in that version, but it doesn't work with 2.4.0 and 2.4.1. When you click and drag the eyedropper tool on any color (regardless of whether it's in the app, the canvas, the MacOS desktop, etc) the colored circle next to it stays black and never changes. The regular eyedropper tool does work but it's a lot more annoying to use because I have to keep context switching out of the mini pop up window for selecting colors. I am using a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 with Sonoma 14.1.1. I tested with just the laptop screen, an external monitor only, and extended mode with both the laptop screen and external monitor and it's the same behavior for all three cases. I have the Screen Recording permissions enabled for Affinity Designer.
  3. Yes you guys are right. I was using an external monitor hooked up to my MacBook when I observed the bug, but the color picker seems to work fine when using the MacBook built in screen. It also works correctly when using a second monitor as an extended screen, but as soon as I close my MacBook so that the external monitor becomes the only screen, it stops functioning properly. Also, a related bug but maybe separate from the initial issue in this thread is that even when the color picker appears to be working properly with the built-in MacBook screen, it still doesn't recognize that the space outside of the canvas is not white. In Affinity Designer 1 it says the space immediately surrounding the canvas has an RGB of 34,34,34, but in 2.2 it's 255,255,255.
  4. I am experiencing the exact same issue with Affinity Designer 2.2.0 on my 2021 M1 Max Macbook Pro running Ventura 13.0.1. I tried all the suggestions in this thread like turning on the Screen Recording permissions and turning off metal compute acceleration but it still doesn't work. I think the issue is that the color picker isn't detecting any colors outside of the canvas. In the video I've attached, if you click and drag the eyedropper outside of the canvas, the RGB values are always 255,255,255. But once it's inside the canvas the RGB values accurately reflect the color that I'm hovering over. Can you please fix this? This bug is crippling my workflow so I'm about to just uninstall 2.2.0 and revert back to the previous version so I can actually get some work done. Screen Recording 2023-09-27 at 11.00.04 PM.mov
  5. Hi all, I'm new to Affinity Designer coming from Inkscape and I love the software. However, I'm running into an issue where the software is forcing me to rasterize certain portions of the image when exporting to SVG, presumably because there are unsupported SVG properties present. I'm not an SVG master at all, so I would appreciate some help in understanding what's preventing my image from being exported as SVG without rasterization and how to fix it. I have an object composed of multiple levels of groups that I'm masking with another curve object. If I try to export the main object without masking, as well as its individual subgroups, I am able to export to SVG without issues. However, as soon as I apply the mask to the object, I am forced to rasterize, so it appears the issue is related to the masking. I've tried other suggestions I found on the forums like making sure every layer is set to 100% opacity and using the passthrough option, but nothing works. I've attached my afdesign file with the object in question, could somebody please take a look at tell me how to fix it? svg-export-rasterize-masks-testcase.afdesign
