  1. Yeah this feature really needs to be developed so it's easy to backup all of your settings, brushes, palettes, assets etc. Ideally a File -> Export settings feature, that gives you checkboxes for all user-configurable settings.
  2. Thanks! I did search for these threads but I was sleepy.
  3. Only caveat to this is if you follow this workflow you’re editing the JPEG. If you want to edit the RAW you need to go to Edit mode in Apple Photos, then his the three dots, then open in Affinity: that’ll open up the RAW. you should never use ‘Edit with’ from the main library if you’re using Photo extensions.
  4. Does anyone use a particular with DAM software? Or is it not really necessary?
  5. Thanks @Old Bruce. Do you use a particular DAM software in that case or are you just using folders and files?
  6. Hi there, I use Apple Photos to import all the RAW files from my camera, and then the Affinity Photo extension to individually edit those RAW files in Develop persona. I also have my lifetime JPEG collection in Apple Photo, which is why I'm keen to find a workflow. This is a limited workflow, in that you can't do batch processing (the Affinity / Apple Photo extension only lets you edit one image at a time). I'm curious how other photographers manage their RAW libraries with Affinity? Do you: Still use Apple Photos for RAW management and accept that you have to edit each image individually. Use another Digital Asset Management (DAM) product to just manage your RAW files (especially for batch edits of lots of photos), then maybe import the edited JPEGs into Apple Photos? Ditch Apple Photos in favour of another DAM and manage things in a different way? Cheers, Zac
  7. Thanks @Hangman, I forgot that step. Though I think Affinity should make editing bulk RAW images way easier! There's no batch processing, and for most Apple people who might use the Apple Photos app, its difficult to get a good workflow going.
  8. Exactly. Affinity doesn’t need to replicate Figma entirely as they’ve nailed collaboration. But at least the basics of maintaining a workspace should be simpler.
  9. Yeah it'd be great to just have an 'export/import custom settings' function. I'm constantly changing computers with work as I swap to client's computers all the time.
  10. There should ideally be a feature to backup all custom settings in Affinity Suite to a file, rather than going to each individual panel and exporting your brushes, swatches etc.
  11. I know, I know, I'm testing beta software... Affinity Publisher on Sonoma Beta 3 crashes frequently and many of the studio panels are unusable. I go to click on the Character panel for example and it does nothing, then the application crashes maybe 20s after. crash.rtf
  12. In Affinity Publisher, if I'm designing a PDF for print, I'd like to export using facing pages. However, if I want to then distribute that PDF digitally, it makes more sense to export the PDF as single pages. It'd be great to have an option in the export dialog.
  13. Nice, I think 1x is probably a 'maybe in 3yrs time' thing for me. Vero looks good and I like their privacy practices - will have a look.
  14. Hi there, I'm looking at getting rid of Instagram for an app that's more focused on photo sharing (vs. reels and memes). The two that stick out are VSCO and Glass. VSCO seems to have more features, while Glass is a more minimal and streamlined app purely for photos. Does anyone have a recommendation or a favourite non-Instagram app?
