  1. I would definitely love to pay for Affinity on Linux too. I really love graphic design and Linux, but it gives me huge headaches, I have to use virtual machine to make Affinity work for me, this option works but the performance is not that awesome. I think adding Linux support would be a great step for Affinity because Linux is getting adopted quickly and if Affinity would come to Linux it could change it could increase the growth for both Affinity and Linux, just think about how many Linux news articles on tech sites would come out if Affinity added Linux support, Affinity would get more attention and Linux as well, Adobe users that are interested to switch would probably go to Linux and use Affinity.
  2. Yes same, I would buy AFD and AFP again too. I really enjoy using Linux, I built my own system with arch and it is awesome, not bloated. Windows is pretty bloated, there is always some useless update no one asked for. There are useless apps that you can't uninstall, you cannot really have shortcuts for stuff or use terminal, there is windows cmd but it is really bad. Affinity should be one that would finally break the wall and add Linux support, it would have an advantage over adobe.
  3. Would be awesome if there were font folders in the font picker, it would save a lot of time. Users could organize fonts, so they don't have to look longer time for some font they don't remember the name of.
  4. Affinity said they don't have Linux in their development plan, it might come one day. I would personally love to see affinity natively on Linux, Linux makes workflow better and more efficient. But sadly I have to run windows VM to run affinity. Linux has a lot of potential and it is awesome to operate if you learn it.
  5. True, Linux will just grow. Stuff like WINE or Proton are getting better every update and can make the performance higher. Just look what happened recently, Roblox started working on Linux after WINE got updated, Roblox staff said that it will take a lot of time and money to port Roblox to Linux without creating performance issues, now look, WINE made it work and everything works well (Except right click, but there is a fix on that issue). I know that Roblox is not anything even close to Affinity, but it just shows that Linux users will always find their way, and that the Linux will grow. By the thing that happened to Roblox, people switched to Linux because they finally can play and develop Roblox games. It is a question of time when there will be any breakthrough in development of WINE or if there will be some new great compatibility tool.

  7. Hello, I am Waffelo, I am from Slovakia and I am 16 years old. I really love graphic design and technology. Affinity is my favorite software for graphic design because of it's simplicity and pricing. I am a Linux users so sadly I need to go trough painful virtualization, I use Affinity in Windows 10 virtual machine.
  8. Linux is great for artists and creators, I would love to see Affinity on Linux, I own photo and designer and im using Linux
  9. Yeah but if you ask on twitter, they forward you to 2014 post. So I guess there is official statement. But it is pretty old statement
  10. I know that not a lot of people use Linux, but a lot of Linux users would love to see Linux support for affinity. Last mention that about Linux support for affinity was in 2014 and that's a looong time ago. Linux community is growing each year and is getting better. And if affinity would get linux support, more people will be using affinity because there are tons of people (that I talked to) on windows using adobe software, and the only thing holding them back is not much great graphical software for linux, GIMP and Inkscape are cool, but they are not good for everything. I personally love affinity more than adobe and running it in Virtual-Machine is not very pleasant. I know that developing software is not very easy, but to me it would be worth it to give it a shot and make affinity available for everyone.
