This bug has been driving mad for a long time now... I've found out that it's related to the artboards: if I remove my artboard, the invert selection tool works as expected. Otherwise the inverted selection disappears, like mentioned above, or is simply completely wrong.

I've FINALLY found where this pasting issue came from... I had inverted the normal "paste" and "paste without format" commands in the Designer shortcuts. I usually prefer to paste text without format, so to make it quicker, I had changed the CMD+V shortcut to do just that. Shift+Option+CMD+V was assigned to the simple "paste". This caused the problem where I couldn't paste into textfields because CMD+V would trigger something else than the basic "paste" command.

Hi @Lee D, I created a new user account to test what you suggested (without much hope I might add...) and the copy/paste did work normally! That's really weird... Would you have any idea about where this behaviour could come from and how I could fix it?

Correction: auto colours and white balance DO have the same issue sometimes! And I forgot to mention that I use a pretty powerful Mac Studio, so hardware should not be the issue.

Hi! I noticed some weird bug (?) in recent versions of V1 as well as in V2: the auto level and auto contrast commands take forever (= several minutes, even for a small image) to complete. Hi! I'm unfortunately still plagued with the paste issue I reported in V1: for some weird reason I can't paste text inside Designer's text fields any more. When I try to paste text to rename a group for example, Designer creates a text field at the centre of my artboard and pastes the copied text inside of it. If I try to paste text in a text field in the preferences for example, the text just won't paste. Everything still works properly in Photo and in Publisher. Affinity Designer 2.0.0 / macOS 13.0.1 PS: I recorded the video below in V1/macOS 12 but the problem remains exactly the same in V2. Paste_Bug.mp4

Thanks for your input but I'm not that stupid... 😂 Even though I'm inside a text field, my text will get pasted in a new text box at the centre of the artboard.

Didn't know about this one, thanks! Though it unfortunately doesn't seem to be possible to assign a shortcut to this function... I didn't find it in the list at least.

I really like the export features of Designer but find it frustrating that I have to select "Selection Only" from the Area dropdown menu every single time... It would be a huge time saver if we could export a selection straight away without having to set it as a slice first.
