  1. Like the title says. I’m unable to apply a spare channel to the alpha of an adjustment layer.

The function is present, like on the desktop version, but it seems that the spare channels on the iPad version are all locked to target the background layer. When I select a different active layer in the layer’s studio, it doesn’t become the new target for the spare channels.

As a workaround, I have to load the spare channel to the active selection, BEFORE loading an adjustment layer. Making the active selection the mask as the adjustment is being applied. That’s cool, but it makes it hard to A/B different spare channels as the alpha of an adjustment.

Here’s what I’m trying to do on the iPad version:

  2. Just wanted to support this request. Having the brush footprint visible helps me when retouching portraits. It's very common to apply brush sizes that cover naturally occurring contours of the body and face. Currently, it takes a lot of trial and error. Having this feature would speed up my process.

I would suggest adding it as an option that can be toggled on/off in case some people find it obtrusive.

  3. Hopefully someone from Affinity can answer this one:

It seems that the Geekbench scores are confirming that the hardware internals of the new iPads are identical, except for the battery and screen resolutions (the 12.9 having larger batteries due to the larger display).

Knowing this, will the 10.5 iPad handle more live filters and adjustment layers to be applied on a project, because of its lower screen resolution?

If so, does that make the 10.5 the better choice if the main concern is squeezing performance from these tablets? I'm looking for an objective, evidence based answer: Can the 10.5" handle more adjustment layers and overall processing than the 12.9 due to the lower resolution?

    Thanks!
