  1. Totally agree. It's all about Windows optimization. I upgraded to V2 because I expected Serif would have some better optimization updates for Windows users in near future.
  2. Yes up to date. I've tried with both Studio driver and Game driver. So, I'll live with OpenCL off until the next update.
  3. Update: Disable OpenCL compute acceleration will fix this. Why we always have to adjust much settings for stable using Affinity, not V2, even since V1. I hope Serif would release some hot fixes soon. We just want install the app and use, not that: "need to config this, config that, change setting to this/to that, edit file .exe.config to fix this/fix that, etc..." 😢
  4. Yes, sure all the methods that I did: disabling OpenCL, change to WARP, fresh windows, update bios, update driver, disable 3rd parties apps, clean remove and clean install Affinity, nothing changes. As I said before, I think there are some issues with Affinity core and AMD system. I'm using direct cable internet, MS Defender. It's not about starting up the app, it's about the laggy when using the app.
  5. It just the first launching version. I think they know it has bugs and they are working hard to fix them.
  6. Whenever I drag the controller to left, the color tone gets into terrible error color tone. It was only happened with Shadow tonal range. I tested with several photos and got same problem. You can check the issue by watch the attached video. Is there a way to fix this or I should wait the upcoming update? I just upgraded to V2 and I can't believe that V2 has some frustrating bugs 😢 A little bit disappointed Update: Disable OpenCL compute acceleration will fix this. Affinity Photo 2 - Color Balance Adjustments Bug.mp4
  7. I think Affinity should add "enable 2 step verification" to account settings option when login for better account security.
  8. My comparison between V1 and V2 Photo's benchmark. It looks like V2 gets better performance on CPU, lower on GPU. I did not open other applications except Affinity Photo while I was doing the benchmark. Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (latest driver version) Mainboard: Asus X470-PRO (latest bios version) RAM: Gskill trident Z 32 GB (DDR4) GPU: Asus RTX 3060ti (latest studio driver version) Storage: SSD NVMe M2 (Samsung 970 Evo) OS: Windows 11 Pro 22H2 (latest stable build) Affinity Photo preferences: Open CL enabled. I think Affinity should provide a standard numbers of benchmark for comparison between user scores and Affinity recommended scores. The low performance of Affinity on Windows AMD system is really an issue. I can do video comp, motion graphics so smoothy with Davinci Resolve; do 3D tasks on Blender with my satisfaction. But Affinity...
  9. Same issues here! I'm using AMD cpu and motherboard (Ryzen 7 2700x, Asus Prime X470Pro with latest Bios version), Asus RTX 3060ti, Nvidia Studio Driver, 32GB DDR4 RAM. Affinity suit runs laggy, especially Photo, it becomes laggy when adjust the slider for choosing color, adjustment layers,... I mean the slider was damn slow when drag the slider controller. But the funny thing is Affinity suit runs more smoothly on my super old Macbook Pro (2012). Idk but maybe I think Affinity Suit has some problems with Windows AMD system. I tried Affinity 2, just a little bit better performance! I truly hope Affinity could fix this in near future, bring "amazing performance" to Windows Users as its marketing and as it did for MAC, iOS version.
  10. Great to hear that, thanks to Serif! Yes, I used to pause all the new MS Net. framework updates for now. I just hope this could end soon.
  11. The loop in a nutshell: MS release new NET. framework update => Affinity crashes => User uninstall the update and disable that update version => MS release another new update => Affinity crashes => User uninstall the update and disable that new update version => ... MS releases 3-4 updates every month. I don't wanna keep doing this loop.
  12. Uninstall the windows update works well. But I still hope Affinity could provide a patch instead.
  13. Thanks Callum! Can't wait for the update. This issue is really a big deal when we want to export the affinity file for other team and they don't use affinity.
  14. Hi, I found that affinity designer expand stroke with pressure for brush is completely not correct. The expanded stroke is smaller. You can see the issue by watching the video I attached below. 2022-07-13 16-54-10.mkv
  15. So is this feature available for now or not yet? It's superb useful when creating objects likes logos, packaging base line,etc.. Edited: I found the way: enable "Immediate layers" on Candidates .
  16. All Affinity products uses the same core then I think AD benchmark would be the same (or just slightly different). I hope Affinity performance would be better as it runs on Mac system. My old Macbook pro can even perform a surprising smoothly performance lol Affinity is just insane on Mac.
  17. GTX 1660ti Dual OC, AMD Ryzen 7 2700x, 32GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro
  18. I think it could be much faster for changing artboard name if we can change it by double click the name above of the artboard area. I also visualized my suggestion on attached files. Or even faster with F2 hotkey I guess (I know we can one click on artboard layer in Layer palette, but an universal hotkey would better).
