  1. Hi Pšenda, I am attaching before and after gaussian images. It really does not show any banding before the gblur. I also attached a close up. I read several people talking about gradient banding before, but I'd say this is due to the gblur as it really won't show the banding before applying it. Weird it looks so poor. Seems like nodody was really having this issue, other than the guy on the other thread you pointed me to? Thanks!
  2. Hi Just wondering if there's any known solution to this banding I get when I use the gaussian blur and stack several layers of it... it really looks poor and can't get rid of it unless I get rid of the blur itself. Thanks
  3. Can anyone point me out what would be the best way to make my digital pen switch from brush to colour picker? Im used to photosop where B is just to select brush and so I tell my pen to select it by clicking one of its buttons and the other I use for colour picker. But I am new to Aphoto and I'm trying to set my pen for digital painting like this an I'm going a bit crazy as B selects so many different tools i can\t seem to get it right... Im on a cintq. Thanks
  4. Oh, there is the navigator.. i might use this instead
  5. Hi ,Im on a mac When I am working, I usually put a second window in smaller size to see how things look without the need to zoom out all the time. Will this be possible anytime soon or at all for AP? Thanks
  6. Indeed , hahaha... can say it louder but not clearer - But why anyone would choose to do this like this? The tooltip is clearly not enough as I didn't get to see it and of course never guessed that was a toggle. Well... now I know.
  7. Thanks a lot toltec - I wonder why they put it there now... I think it's really hard to see.
  8. Hi In the last update... I am missing the noise slider that was at the bottom of the colour fill dialog. Is it gone or is it me unable to find it? Thanks!
  9. Hi all I bring a time-lapse more than a tutorial for this week. However, I explain how to slow it down so you can follow along if interested. You can also ask me how I did this or that, as usual. Kiss!
  10. Thanks so much JimmyJack. Yeah, I thought of something similar, just was wondering if there was a real way to do this. Somebody asked me if this was possible in AD and I really couldn't find a way other than working around it. Again, thanks a lot!
  11. Hi Anyone could help me understanding if there's a way, and how to snap the center of an object anywhere I might choose on a given path? Thanks.
  12. Thanks a lot Alfred. Yes, it was the word in every designer's mouth some time ago and for some years, especially well known cause of Apple's past design style. Now we're in the age of flat design, which makes good sense if well done, but skeuomorphism is very used for many other design projects, like for example in game art. Thanks for your comments
  13. Jer, how nice of you letting me know this detailed list of tips you found useful Thank you very very much. I am happy to know about this.
  14. Hi peeps, I leave here a tut on how to create an skeuomorphic volume knob. I'd say this kind of simple pieces is how I started learning how to "read objects" in order to reproduce them in a realistic way. It is pretty simple to follow through even for newbies and results are quite nice. Hope you enjoy it, and if so, comment, like and subscribe for more. Thank you all. Isabel.
  15. Hola, Some people wanted to know how to achieve a NEON lights text effect in Affinity Designer, so I created this new tut a bit related to the 80's retrowave one I did some weeks ago. Two simple effects in the FX panel and choosing the right font should be enough to create a nice looking neon graphic. Cheers!

  17. Hi GraviolaB17 and anyone interested in this 80's retro wave style graphics. I had a lad yesterday asking me if I could make a tutorial on how to create a typical neon grid floor on AD. He, just like you was wondering how to do this without a perspective tool, so I created this tutorial to show him how I'd do it myself as of today with the tools available. In any case and as the other members and moderators pointed out, all of this and much more is possible in Affinity Designer! I hope it can be of help to you too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1E-5E57OeYc
  18. The project is for yourselves actually, but I must admit I also learn by doing these tuts. Had lots of people asking me on tutorials so now that I have a bit more time I'm doing them, as I promised time ago. Hope you enjoy and learn something out of any of them.
  19. Hi I did this flat style illustration of a Volkswagen van and a tutorial on how I created it. There's more in my youtube channel if interested. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0c9f270zFU Thanks.
  20. haha indeed, it is a very clever workaround which, in this particular case, could very well work.
