JoeyS reacted to MmmMaarten in I've animated a drawing I made 40 years ago, when I was six :)
Hi Folks,
I had some fun time animating a drawing I made when I was 40 years ago, when I was six years old. Animation was done in Moho Pro, but I happily used Affinity Photo for making all the cutouts and doing some stamping and tricks to make it work. And of course the great export persona (I might have used Affinity Designer for that tho, as flexible as the Affinity ecosystem is in just opening the same file with another Affinity app!)!
Hope you like it!

JoeyS reacted to Greggry P in New work: Debbie Does Dishes (drag inspired artwork)
I’ve been working on a series of pieces featuring ludicrously over-dressed drag queens doing the housework (my “Domestic Goddesses” series).
Here’s the first: Debbie Does Dishes.
Hope you like her!

JoeyS reacted to MmmMaarten in [Photo] Lineslider (paper drawing begging me to animate it)
I made this drawing 24 Years (!) ago. And it recently started begging to animate it. And so I did! 🤠
This took quite a lot of cutting, slicing and editing in Photo (around 200 parts)! Long live the Affinity Photo Clone Stamp, non-destructive vector masking and the always great exporter (thank god it's also there in Photo!) which directly exports to Spine, which is just wonderful! 😀
BTW Not only the animation on paper is endless, but the whole video is also a seamless loop! 🚶♂️👍
Hope you like it!

JoeyS reacted to MmmMaarten in I Animated my own Paper Drawing of 40 Years (!!) ago when I was five :-)
As an excercise today I Animated my own Paper Drawing of 40 Years (!!) ago when I was five years old 🙂
Wanted to practise animating, but also using Photo again after a long time only working with vectors. To refresh the workflow and knowledge of Photo a little bit and doing some raster work again.
Long live the Affinity Photo Clone Stamp, non-destructive vector masking and the great exporter which directly exports to Spine, which is
just wonderful! 😀 The video is also a seemless loop btw! 🚶♂️👍

JoeyS reacted to kat in history portraits & caricatures
I do hundreds of the history portraits, first in AP then imported into AD where I use half a dozen export sizes.
I used the paint mixer brush for Rodin, the rest mostly regular brush.
I really wish the paint mixer brush worked better. I do have my wacom table mixer brush set for C & L. But the mixer brush is just not as good as painter or photoshop, which I've mostly given up for Affinity Photo. I do have hope that it will get better in future versions

JoeyS reacted to Greggry P in Vector Portrait: Bailey
This is a recently completed commission, which was fantastically enjoyable to undertake. Frankentoon’ s Texturiser Brush Set was a great help In creating the patina of the leather and the cushion fabric,, and Gagatka’s fur brush set really helped in creating the texture of the throw over the back of the chair.
Otherwise, the smudge tool in pixel persona was essential in creating the sheen of the dog’s fur.
